why would the english clubs leave the best club competition in the world where the attendence figures are growing year on year to go off and make up a dodgy african/anglo cup with no track record...sounds like desperation to me ...for what its worth i predict an english club to do well this year but...

in response to tigerburnie ..can the tigers and the other premiership clubs really blame tiredness for being knocked of the HC for the last number of years even in the group stages which are played out before christmas ? squad sizes are the same if not bigger than pro 12 teams .in the early naughtie...

its nice to see the affection you guys have for geordan and you also deserve praise for the way his career developed....am looking forward to see how a recent acadamy signing from ireland brian byrne wil develop ...his twin brother went to leinster and they are among the cream of this years crop of ...

i can add to this debate..if pro 12 teams have an advantage in the HC how come the welsh and scottish teams dont get far ..the irish teams do great in the HC then their national team is bad ..the welsh provences do bad in the HC and their national team wins the grand slam ..and what about the premie...

would suggest you read john b on page for an answer those questions..

wow.. i was explaining to minis over here about the sugar daddys in france and england who financed clubs way more than than the provinces in celtic land and everything was fine when the clubs were winning.. but now some (only some) of the provinces are clearly better than the clubs they want their ...

What a match.Should have been the final with respect to the other two but it was a different class. Its the mark of champions to do what Leinster did and now two Irish teams in the final ..whats the world coming to!!

the pro 12 is succesful in its own way which is about player development for H.C. and international teams hence the foriegn player rule in irish provences ...its slightly less punishing therefore less injuries and the mad refereeing can produce mad games ...the aviva is about something different and...

for those of you that think the pro 12 is soft and gives the celtic teams an advantage because theres no relegation, should consider what gary gold director of rugby at newcastle said about the subject which is ..that relegation causes negative rugby lots of kicking into corners etc

personally I think there is a lot of competition for places within teams in the pro 12 ..the skill levels in games has risen because theres not as much hard knocks/cheap shots/injuries on a weekly basis as in the more ruthless english/french leagues its about managing the intensity for when you need...
