Re: Finn Russell

Had a bit much to drink, missed training on the Monday. Was told he'd was out of the Irish game for the breach of protocol. Was offered the choice to help the team train or return to Paris a day early (all the exiles return to their clubs this weekend, don't have to be released until 6 days before a...

Re: Tigers vs Cardiff - 12th January 2020

Really want Tigers to win this. Obviously I want them to win normally, but a win tomorrow means that Edinburgh only need a win v Agen next week at home that get to the QFs. And that QF may well be at Welford Road....

Re: Saracens Cap Investigation / Grounds for Appeal

In all honesty, physical safety is one of the reasons the NFL is a closed shop. If you put an NFL team against a college team (that's the next level down) people would get seriously hurt. I mean, they get seriously hurt anyway, it'd just be worse.

Re: Saracens Cap Investigation / Grounds for Appeal

Zzzzzzzzzz this discussion has become boring, let’s move on, Saracens have been found guilty, paid the price, accepted their guilt. We need all the teams in the premiership to continue the great league we have, if we delve too deeply I think you will find that quite a lot of the clubs have sailed c...

Re: Saracens Cap Investigation / Grounds for Appeal

Wasn't it the Daily Mail that lead on this issue in the first place, when all the other supposedly serious rugby journalists ran scared i.e. Chris Jones, Kitson et al. I do get it and in many ways I do agree with you. It really is boring, a mess, but only because the people in charge of the game si...

Re: Saracens Cap Investigation / Grounds for Appeal

The problem with ring fencing will be that there won't be another Worcester or Exeter who eventually establish themselves as Premiership teams. Apart from the disasterous promotion & immediate of London Welsh qhite a few dsides have come up and survived. Yes they may go down again in the future but...

Re: Saracens Cap Investigation / Grounds for Appeal

Assuming you are correct. Saracens are almost certainly relegated. If another club comes 12th and Saracens escape relegation they will take legal action against Premier Rugby if they do not relegate Saracens / remove their Share. The logic being that Saracens were proven to be in contravention of t...

Re: European Challenge Cup - Cardiff vs Tigers

I don’t want to rain on anyone’s parade here, but let’s not forget that Cardiff are rubbish. Edinburgh won down there with About twenty players missing with less drama than yesterday.

Re: London Irish vs Tigers

We're going to struggle to get ahead of Sarries even with a 35 point start this year, aren't we.

Re: Saracens Cap Investigation / Grounds for Appeal

here's a suggestion rather than a peanuts to Wray £5m fine would it not have been better to restrict Saracens cap by £2m for each of the next 3 seasons to reflect 3 seasons of known breaches and if they can be shown to be breaching the cap this season then the restriction should apply for the follo...

Will it be like rugby disciplinary hearings? Plead innocent and risk a greater punishment?

Here's hoping....
Or get it halved for turning up in a nice suit and not eating the pink wafers

Re: Leicester vs Saracens

I’d appreciate any views on Calum Hunter Hill, on the bench for sarries tomorrow, if he’s on for any length of time.
