Re: CVC Kite-flying?

I assume this this is being mooted by everyone not in the Premiership. All gain for Pro 14, all loss for us To be honest, I don't see it as much gain for the Pro14. It's the eternal Welsh pipe dream. And it's only the Welsh that want it - not the Irish or the Scots. It's never going to happen, ther...

Re: Elitism in Rugby

Some of the answers on here are examples of why I despair for Society in the UK at times.

I wonder if any of the commenters on here went to private schools.

Re: Elitism in Rugby

Most people aren't criticising private schools for running sports, they're criticising state schools for not doing it. When this happens it presents fewer opportunities for kids from poorer backgrounds. Sport should be part of your upbringing, and school sport should be a significant part of that. A...

Re: Elitism in Rugby

Off the back of Ellis Genge's interview in the Mail England test prop Ellis Genge has hit out at English rugby’s “private school mould,” stating that it is stopping the sport from progressing. “It’s something I want to speak about because my whole career I’ve felt like I can’t express my opinion,” ...

Re: Challenge Cup 19/20

Biffer used to be quite a critical voice, now he seems positively optimistic. I'd like to know who the new coach is, assuming Ford is staying for me to be vaguely optimistic about Europe. Just to keep you calm, I didn't say we'd win it. Somebody else screwed up quote function. Either that or someon...

Re: 2019 World U20s

Poor result yesterday for Scotland. Too many mistakes and bad decisions. A lot of injuries - Sam Grahamslaw is badly missed in the scrum for instance, where we've been badly beaten by all three of our opponents.

Re: Challenge Cup 19/20

It's my belief that this competition will most certainly be a real challenge. Many of these sides will be a damn hard nut to crack! We really have to be up for the games, or we shall get dumped out. That said, with many new arrivals and fit players we could go a long way. The main barriers will lik...

Re: Challenge Cup 19/20

French teams (and to an extent English teams, and I Hope, Edinburgh) usually put out substantially weakened teams in the Challenge Cup. So pool results can be unpredictable. Leicester will be the fourth ranked team amongst the English sides as Sale are in the Champions Cup given their european placi...

Re: The Six Nations 2019

Didn’t notice this during the game but Tuialgi is lucky it wasn’t picked up. Close to being a straight red https://twitter.com/markpalmerst/status/1107367066405912580?s=21 Yes, he was very lucky the ref. didn't see that, or he would have walked! Not so sure - look where Tuillagi's arms were - well ...

Re: The Six Nations 2019

Have no idea what the backline lineup for England will be now for the World Cup. As good as Daly is, he isn’t a fullback so maybe the perfect no.23 player as he can cover multiple positions. Watson or Brown to play 15. Do we also revert back to the Ford/Farrell axis or stick to the centres in the S...
