Re: Typhoon on it’s way

I just don't understand how a country with the resources and infrastructure of Japan can't move the games, especially with 4 or 5 days notice. You'd imagine the cost of such a manoeuvre would be at least partially covered by not having to forfeit TV revenues. I'm worried that England are going into...

Re: Non-England World cup thread 2019

Starting to look like Scotland will be the first country ever eliminated from a World Cup by a Typhoon.

When has been sanctioned previously for high hits
He’s been repeatedly sanctioned for no arms hits so it appears tackling technique is a long standing issue.
When certainly not the past season
Well, about half an hour ago for a start.

Re: Is Lavanini going to be a liability?

If someone has been sanctioned once or twice they might be capable of learning, but when it happens again and again, it’s gifficult tobelive they will. If someone has been sanctioned once or twice they might be capable of learning, but when it happens again and again, it’s difficult to believe they will.

Is Lavanini going to be a liability?

He has a really poor discipline record. Second time he’s been given a red for Argentina, and has been yellow carded more than any other argentine international ever has. Could’ve been yellowed in the last game as well but got away with one.

Tigers can’t afford indiscipline.

This appointment is a strange one imo. Are Scotland clutching at straws?
Seems his job is primarily developing the academy, not coaching.

Re: Mallinder to Scotland

So the role has changed and he has no responsibility for recruitment. Player development pathway is the primary function, which it could be said is one of his better areas.

So long as he doesn't try and bring Dorian with him.

Re: Mallinder to Scotland

I'm unsure about it. Have heard good and bad about Mallinder so really a bit dubious. The job, so far as I understand it (although a lot of people were never really sure what Scott Johnson did) is about developing the professional playing structures in Scotland, so the academy, coach development (an...

Re: CVC Kite-flying?

I assume this this is being mooted by everyone not in the Premiership. All gain for Pro 14, all loss for us To be honest, I don't see it as much gain for the Pro14. It's the eternal Welsh pipe dream. And it's only the Welsh that want it - not the Irish or the Scots. It's never going to happen, ther...
