If we've signed up the Springbok U20 player of the year for 4 years, and he outplayed CCS, then I'd call that a cracking piece of business.
I can live with Hatherall, Liebenberg and Cracknell sharing duties with him.

Re: Tigers vs Gloucester (H) - Premiership - Friday 22nd March 2024 - KO:19.45
I thought the general consensus on here was that Kata struggled on the wing in the world cup? It certainly didn't look like kicking was his strong point, and he lacks the agility to defend in wide open spaces. I'd keep him at centre, but I would never have moved Ben Earl to number 8, so what do I kn...

Let's all be honest, this entire discussion is quite ridiculous.

Re: 2024 Six Nations Chat
Personally, I think Furbank showed against Ireland why he should be included ahead of Steward. He did some things in attacking play that Steward just isn't likely to. I don't understand the logic of saying the selection was all wrong after just beating arguably the best team in the world. All Engla...

Re: 2024 Six Nations Chat
Possible reasons for Daly's inclusion: 2 assists so far, more than any other Emgland player, and only 1 fewer than the highest in the tournament. 4 line breaks, equal most for England alongside Freeman, and joint 7th in the tournament. Doesn't feature anywhere near the top of the "most missed t...

I'd be surprised to see Manu go to France, I've always got the impression that it wouldn't really suit him from a lifestyle point of view.
Perhaps there aren't any decent offers from Prem teams.

Anscombe as well. I'd take Carreras or LRZ over Wade, but Anscombe is probably an upgrade if he stays fit.Rugbygramps wrote: ↑Wed Mar 13, 2024 8:04 pmWade well past his best. Who else have they signed? Obviously already lost LRZ, Hastings and Carreras off too

Re: 2024 Six Nations Chat
Attempting the drop goal was an extra chance of kicking the points. If the attack had petered out it would have all been on the penalty kick. As it would have been had the DG missed. Considering the TBP for table position and factors going into last round was bigger picture thinking, some don't agr...

Re: 2024 Six Nations Chat
Irelands 14 forwards used carried 29 metres less than Earl did on his own! Incredible defensive effort and how good is Earl? Up there with the worlds best back row players at the moment! Can do it all,and Kieran Read and Parisse both proved for years that the number 8 position isn’t always about ha...

Re: 2024 Six Nations Chat
Rugbypass also echoing a poster on here yesterday about going for the BP try with the luxury of the penalty. Me personally I believe the correct decision was made. It doesn’t happen often but refs can sometimes call a red zone penalty advantage over after a number of phases and knowing our luck we ...

Re: 2024 Six Nations Chat
Care definitely in decline, not sure who else is knocking on the door though, until JvP returns. Ford still has plenty to offer alongside Marcus Smith. Anyway, great performance, great result. Need to back it up with another strong show against France. There's a lot of potential in this England setu...

Re: 2024 Six Nations Chat
I think Furbank is a very good player but Borthwick needs to find out if he can become World Class like Freddie: I also read a couple of weeks ago that Freddie had picked up a niggling injury! Furbank has also been quite a versatile player and we know Borthwick likes that too. No one expects Englan...

Re: 2024 Six Nations Chat
Ireland have been keeping the ball in hand a lot this year, so Steward's super power won't necessarily be of much use. Personally, I still would have picked him though.
