Re: Progress Under Borthwick
I think the main difference between then and now is the rebalancing of the squad to be less reliant on current internationals. I'm not convinced that the style of play or tactics are any more effective, simply a case of better players available more of the time. That's not a criticism of Borthwick,...

Danny Ciprani available should we need reserve Fly Half options....would make a decent understudy to George Ford :smt001 Not until their are fans back in stadiums. He's not interested in rugby unless there are at least a few thousand people on hand to make him feel special. should read this https:/...

Re: Sale game moved - Teams up
And the reality is, that if you ignore the games called off for covid, we are winning fewer league points per match than we did in 18/19 while finishing 11th.
Still, there's plenty to be positive about.

Looks like a good bonus point for Worcester, we would have been delighted with that when Chiefs visited Welford Road.

Ever heard of confirmation bias? Yes, confirmation bias is about interpreting, information, and situations in a way that is consistent with one’s existing beliefs. It’s tends to subconscious and we all do it. And yes - that's all of us. For example if contributor (a) was to write 'The last time we ...

He posted 4 laughing emojis at 9pm. No reference to tigers whatsoever that I saw. Could have been aimed at the match, but equally could have been aimed at absolutely anything.

Re: Tomas Lavanini signs for Clermont
For me the reason to move Liebenberg to lock was to be able to fit Taufua and Reffell into the back row. Now Taufua has moved on I don't think it's as appealing. Particularly if relegation is off the table, this season should now be about further developing the likes of Henderson etc. Wells has grow...

I don't remember any standout performances from Lewis last season. He barely played in the Premiership but was decent in his Challenge Cup outings, if nothing special.
Martin, Henderson, Chessum and Smith have all impressed me more when I've seen them.

Bit harsh. Consistently good finishes with Quins, and the Italy Head Coach role is hardly the appointment everyone dreams of.Cardiff Tig wrote: ↑Thu Jan 28, 2021 5:31 pmI'm not so sure. He has zero pedigree as a HC so far...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2020/21 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD EPISODE V: Borthwick Strikes Back
Must have missed it, what is the reason Lewis is often touted as leaving? Because he never gets a look in. I think he's been on the bench once this season, and came on for the last few minutes? Some would say he's not the kind of forward anyone wants in 2021- how many head coaches are looking for a...
