Re: Get behind our club
The fact is that the players returning from the World Cup will walk back into the side, and if coaches tell players otherwise they would be lying. The players are all aware of this. Do you really think Ford, for example, believes that in a couple of months while Flood is away he can make himself per...

Re: Ground Control to Mr Tom
I think tb1 has hit the nail on the head. "Loyalty" means supporting the club even when they lose. As for asking for a refund for your season ticket, did anyone promise you the team would win every match when you bought it? No, I thought not. If you're that unhappy, go and support Saracens...

Re: Tigers V Bath
Whatever changes are made, should be a comfortable win for Bath.
We simply don't have the players available at the moment to compete in the Premiership.

Re: Waldrom to join England squad in NZ
Waldrom has now been called up as replacement for Sheridan. So, we won't be seeing him again for a while.

Re: Joubert - classy player, Saracens - no class?
I don't see any reason why they shouldn't take the final kick. I know it's unlikely, but points difference could be a factor at the end of the season. I'd expect Tigers to have done the same. Of course they wanted to rub Tigers' noses in it - just as we would want to rub theirs in it if it was the o...

Re: Idiot ITV commentators
Half an hour of France vs NZ has changed my mind. Already tired of the incessant worshipping of McCaw, he's a great player but they talk about him like he's a God amongst men. And don't even get me started on the lack of a referee with the balls to apply the same rules to NZ as they do to every othe...

Re: Idiot ITV commentators
Seems to me that the ITV coverage is not aimed at pleasing the kind of people who use this forum. We're all rugby fans (I'm assuming) so we are mostly going to watch the WC on ITV regardless of how poor the pundits or commentators are. Therefore, it doesn't matter to ITV what we think. What ITV are...

Newcastle look like they're in for a struggle this season. Good opportunity for Tigers to get their first win.
I predict a comfortable win.

Re: Thoughts on England v Argentina...
I think England have some fantastic players at this world cup. They have a pretty decent pack and backs such as Youngs, Manu, Foden and Ashton. Then we have MJ's tactics and he puts Tindall in there and hands him the Captains armband so you tell me is there any fly half in world rugby good enough t...

Re: Thoughts on England v Argentina...
If Wilko is so good at game management and getting the team in the right parts of the pitch, especially when the ball is slow, why did Argentina spend more time in our 22 than we did in theirs? I'm pretty shocked to see Lawes cited for that challenge, I really can't see how it was anything other tha...

Re: Potential Haskell Suspension
"England manager Martin Johnson may now face calls for Haskell, 26, to be suspended from the team" So the Mail is speculating that someone might want Johnson to suspend him. No suggestion that there is actually any specific person or group calling for this, or that there is any likelihood ...

Re: Thoughts on England v Argentina...
It means he knows what is needed and when, he takes the best option 9/10. And he does keep the score board ticking over, he doesnt hesitate, as soon as the ball slows down, he takes the points before the ball is completely on the backfoot or turned over and we lose any oppurtunity for points. So ga...

Re: Thoughts on England v Argentina...
im suprised by the comments about jonny - he was the form fly half going into the game, played much better than flood in the warm up games and has been in good form for toulon - jonny played for a poor newcastle side when he was excellent so the fact that toulon didnt finish in the top six is neith...
