Re: Clubs on the brink

Rugby needs a complete overhaul though, professional rugby is not sustainable in its current form. Maybe this is the chance to change the system for the better. Both the premiership and the championship below have completely unsustainae models.

I don't have any solutions though...

Re: European competitions

I think whoever wins the Racing v Saracens match will be the eventual tournament winners.

Re: QF cancelled - Castres forfeit match!

Gutted, was looking forward to this. At least testing protocols prevented our lads risking their health (more than normal at least), questions have to be asked about the efficacy of Castres' bubble. They don't have a secure bubble though. It's not like the cricket where everyone was in a secure env...

I'm not sure, my moneys on Sarries. For all their faults, they're one hell of a team when they hit form.
TBH Cardiff Tig, I think there’s more chance of Newport Dragons winning the Challenge Cup than Sarries winning at Leinster!

I'll be surprised if Sarries let this lead go.

Re: A question.

On the risk of verging off into politics too much. My proposal Limiting factors as to why people can't get tests seems to be logistics of getting the test itself NOT lab capacity. (This is only from what I've read). This is because they only are staffing very few test centres outside of hotspots. T...

Re: A question.

There's literally 100,000s of test capacity in private labs this very second. The issue is that it's not "validated" by the government to feed into track and trace (because of contracts they've agreed with suppliers). Anyone can get a scientifically legitimate test online right now, you just have to...

Re: Team vs Saints

I'm surprised one of the tight head props can't cover loosehead. Cole played loose head for the Lions for instance on some of the tour games.

Re: Brian Moore - Telegraph 14 Sep 2020

They do seem to have got their act together finally. I don't think they've been a decent side since 2011, and even then it was down to a few players dragging the team with them. It's good to see them coming back to where they should be.

Re: Brian Moore - Telegraph 14 Sep 2020

It's like how I felt the international game really suffered when Springboks had their poor run from 2016-2018. International rugby needs a strong Springboks side for the benefit of the code. Totally agree. I'd same the same about having a strong French team as well. Completely changes the dynamic o...

Re: England Players Agree to a Salary cut for 1 year

Just thought he could have appreciated the financial problems faced by the club that has been loyal to him for many years through the various problems he had. Obviously he didn't want to upset the RFU to assist his England and Lions selection. Without taking sides - there's a massive difference bet...

Re: Ringfencing almost upon us ?

Has anyone else stopped watching the other games? I watch the Leicester games but watching one sided matches is not entertainment in my eyes.

I don't think this was the way to finish the season in hindsight.

Re: New ban on assembly.

It sounds like sporting events will be able to have crowds though i.e. restaurants aren't capped to only 6 people capacity. So as long as the club has a proper COVID plan I don't see it having much of an effect. Whether crowds can actually be socially distanced in real-life when the final whistle go...
