Re: England Women in the world cup

Indeed. Also, they are playing on a 4 day turnaround; the final will be England's 5th game in 18 days (I hope there are some searching questions asked of the organisers following the tournament). I very much doubt the organisers will look at this but could you imagine the uproar if the men were ask...

Re: Transfers & Rumours Non Tigers 2016/17

Liam Williams to Sarries confirmed on BBC Website. Three year contract, previously reported as £300k p.a. Hard for us to compete at that level, but I would guess it's pretty much a like-for-like replacement, moneywise, for Ashton. Sarries full back options aren't half bad - Goode, Maitland, Wyles (...

Re: DOR aspirants, then?

Sincerely hope that Lancaster is not in the frame. The issue I had with him at England was he was caught up in the ethos thing where at that level the hard edged "winning" should have been the focus. He was too often talking about the journey rather than the here and now. The club have &qu...

Re: Positive Posts only for The Great Cockerill

Without him there would be no ABC club. Without the ABC club Tigers would be missing a massive part of their DNA.
He will be missed.
You don't get that sort of passion for a club just from a pay check, something I think the club will find out themselves in the coming months.

Re: George North RFU report

Possibly the finest example of sweeping something under the carpet ever. Pointless review. Player obviously knocked out but neither medical staff or club did anything wrong in putting him back on the pitch. Who are they kidding? If I was a professional player I'd think very carefully about looking a...

Re: Calum Clark - Again!

If that had been at "grassroots" level the player in question would have had the book thrown at him or her (closely followed by the kitchen sink).
He really must have a taken some lovely biscuits to the hearing.

Re: Sam Burgess

How you can think it will be Burgess and Owen in the centres is beyond me. Such SL haters on this forum. ... I don't think Sam B will go to the World Cup and if he does it will just be for a smash about against Uruguay. It's easy to think that given the VAST amount of sound bites coming from Englan...

Re: Sam Burgess

Yep, sick of hearing about him. For any non-rugby following people taking an interest in the RWC it must seem like he is the only player in the squad. As it stands it is looking like Lancaster is setting up to pick Farrell Jr and Burgess in the centres. If that's the case I fear that England won't g...

Re: Guess your England RWC squad of 31

I'm hoping Sam Burgess is no where need the team. Now, don't get me wrong as a league player he is outstanding. As a union player he has potential but only that at the minute. Bath it seems as well as England say they aren't sure where his best position is which sort of makes it easy, if you don't k...

Re: Hartley AGAIN

A few things. If found guilty and Lancaster does not drop him then as fair as I'm concerned Lancaster should be removed from his role. You can not have double standards in the international squad. Any ban is for games for this as fair as my understanding of the sanctions go. However, the cynic in me...

Re: Shop?

One of the very sad things about "the shop" is the fact it no longer visits the rugby courses Tigers run during the summer. As a parent, and volunteer on those courses, I've watched as at the end of the week the players who have been coached by Tigers all week brought something. In some ca...
