Re: Ideas for revenue generation at Tigers
Following on from some of the early posts in this thread, I've often wondered why the club cant broadcast matches that aren't picked for TV via their website, in return for a fee, perhaps £5-10. Its not like the TV companies are losing anything, as they aren't televising the match anyway, and the cl...

Re: New Kit
New kits are like marmite, you'll always have some who love it and some who hate it, but given the importance of this revenue stream to the club at the moment, and bringing it back in house, I am surprised that a more 'traditional' choice wasn't made. Surely playing safe and finding something with t...

Re: Season Ticket Renewals
I've not renewed for next season, main reason for me is the random kick off days/times, its been harder and harder to work around family and work commitments so I've had to miss numerous matches, it used to be the odd one but now seems like its more often that not. I will be better off picking and c...

Re: What do you want on match day?
I've been an ST Holder the last ten years and I can honestly say I've never even seen the half time 'entertainment' once, when the whistle blows for the first half its queuing to get downstairs, queuing to drain the tanks, queuing to get a pint for the second half and then back up the stairs hopeful...

Re: WOULD YOU PREFER PRIVATE OWNERSHIP?
Depends how you define 'Privately owned', as the club is already owned by the shareholders. As I understand it one of which, Tom Scott, owns about 47% of the shares, so when taken with Peter Toms shares gives then easily a controlling interest. Therefore giving them control of the direction of the c...

Re: Tigers' Attendances
I couldn't go to the match due to my son playing in an Under 12s festival which went on until 1400, one of several times this season I have had the same predicament, all the Sunday fixtures especially the early ones will make life difficult for parents wishing to support the next generation of playe...

Re: Quins 25th Oct
Just a suggestion but there's always the Matchday bus services, running from Market Harborough, Oakham, Nuneaton, Market Bosworth and Melton Mowbray (with stops on the way at a bunch of other places, usually right outside Public Houses, very convenient) if there's not a stop near you it would work a...

Re: Lancaster Countdown - has he gone yet?
I don't think Lancaster will go, not while Andrew and Ritchie remain, unless he starts to find it personally too uncomfortable, not least because his only chance now to save something of his career is to try and continue and turn things round, otherwise he'll forever be remembered as the coach who c...

Re: Objective opinion on Twickenham yesterday
Have to agree with the comments on Swing low, how the hell did we get stuck with that? We've only got two songs, swing low and GSTQ and they're both dismal. Don't get me wrong, I sing them to support the team, but every time I wish we had something better

Re: Ricoh Arena v Wasps
Does anyone happen to know how long before their last few games Wasps started putting free tickets onto ticketmaster? Planning on going but a freebie would be nice, although if theres one game where they might decide not to give out free tickets its this one

Re: Ridiculously priced infant kit
Have to agree with the comments above re the excessive price of kids shirts, bought a series of cotton traders kids shirts which my son has now outgrown but refuse to buy a canterbury replacement because aside from the price being excessive in itself for a childs shirt, the differential between that...

Re: International tickets
I have just noticed that tickets for the autumn internationals went on sale to ST holders via the ticket office at 09:00 this morning, a fact that was sneaked out via a news story at 20:23 last night, not great really, perhaps unsurprisingly they only have some tickets for the Australia game left no...

Re: Singing of national anthems
Agree with previous posters that I can't see what having a singer is adding, I'd much rather just hear the crowd, led by a band. If you must have a singer have a singer who is singing in an ordinary way like the crowd, not an opera type singer wailing. I seem to recall seeing a match not long ago wh...
