Re: Croft retires
Thankyou Strawclearer for this article this is a too frequent occurrence in todays employment world and is very common to those Ministry of Defence servicemen and women who enter straight from school and are cocooned into a sanitised world within and then leave that environment without a plan. This...

Re: Croft retires
Not posted on here for quite a while... Tom Croft, an exceptional talent and my favourite player from when I first started going to Welford Road. The better part of me always hoped to see him in full flight for Tigers again, but I guess it wasn't to be. Superior line-out technician; who along with D...

Re: Positive Posts only for The Great Cockerill
Went to a Tigers open training session at Welford Road a couple of years back and watched from the front of the terrace. It was bitterly cold that day. Cockers saw me rubbing my hands together, came over and asked if I'd like to come and join in! 'That'll warm you up!' As a little woman, I respectfu...

Re: Departure of Cockerill
A sad end to a long and distinguished career at Tigers but unfortunately it's a results orientated Business and sooner or later this had to happen. All credit to him for all he's achieved thus far and good luck for the future. :smt023 My sentiments exactly, first part sadly, second part undoubtedly...

Re: One question
I found the Laurence Pearce departure the hardest to accept. I'd been bigging him up as a future England number 8 early last season. I assumed we'd obviously made a big signing when one by one the Number 8s were signing elsewhere. +1 Seemed to me to be pretty good at scoring tries, but didn't seem ...

Re: Is this year pivotal for Cockers?
After one particularly abject performance last season; (I think we came out with a win in spite of it.) Cockers himself said: 'We don't tell them to play like that.' The guy looked exasperated and therein lies the problem. Why, when the players get out there, do they forget to man the overlap, creat...

Re: Mobile Crane on the move?
A pity some on here see fit to take the 'don't let the door hit you on the way out' policy. Jordan has been a fine and loyal servant to the club. Leicester through and through. I sat in front of some morons at the City Ground who were blaming him for everything and the guy wasn't even playing! Would...

Re: OK Someone has to say this.
Is it my imagination, or have we all but stopped competing at opposition line-outs?
As I recall on Saturday, we didn't compete for one till Crofty came on.
I have noticed this in other matches this season.
Feel free to correct me and/or offer an analysis as to why.

I'm hoarse and the dog is well and truly back. Go Tigers!
(It's all about the animals tonight.)
(PS: Stop the wild passes then I will be really happy )

Re: Foxes' Happy Clappers
The point I was making is that they have generated a cracking atmosphere at the King Power and the owners have readily put their hand in their pocket to help generate it.

Re: Foxes' Happy Clappers
My son is a City season ticket holder and he tells me that the Thai owners are doing their utmost to engage with the supporters. Clappers on the seats at every match, placards that the fans can hold up and/or turn over, free bottles of Singha beer and last night, 'Vardy Salted' Walkers Crisps as you...

Re: If some players need extra motivation for Exe game.
GS. I'm in complete agreement with you on this one. Was absolutely gutted when Parling left, but as we've found with Moody, Hipkiss, et al; we've let certain players go at the right time. 2nd row is looking good and with Crofty seeming to have is mojo back, things seem promising; especially with arr...

Re: In what world was the Gopperth incident not a red card!?
Mathew's reaction should help the citing officer too.
A more amiable chap you could not wish to meet and his immediate reaction to Gopperth was one of fury, backed up by McCaffrey.
I've rarely seen him react that way

Well I love it!
First shirt for a while where I've actually thought;
'I'm gonna get me one of those'
Now Mr Kooga; produce another bobble hat in the style of last season's Canterbury one and you'll have yourself another sale.

Re: Anthony Allen, has been forced to announce his retiremen
Thanks to the club for quickly putting up a snapshot/video of Anthony's time at Tigers http://www.leicestertigers.com/matchdaytv/index.php?play=media&id=21234 This being close season, it is unlikely we will get a chance to show our appreciation of the skills he has shown over the years, but I fo...
