Re: Baa Baas game called off - Players charged by RFU

Having found out it was twice, and that the allowance to go to the coffee shop was a limited time, therefore risk scenario, and that they then lied (both to the initial investigation and then the press) I think my previous post is off.
What a group of complete twonks.

Re: Baa Baas game called off

I was listening to the Good / Bad / Rugby Podcast, apparently the players were allowed (within their contracts) to go out to the park, to go to a coffee shop in the park and if English, to go to their families as well. The comparison to the cricket teams is valid, that's how I think it should have b...

Re: Other Round 22 Fixtures

How can any protocol possibly guard against it unless non of the team are allowed to come into contact with each other at all. To think otherwise is pure fantasy. Other teams not having it is pure luck, not better management.

Re: England Training Squad announced

In regard to Sheedy, I also strongly suspect that if he had any international aspirations for England (assuming that Wales isn't his first choice and I have no idea about that at all), that he'd talk to Eddie first and see if there was a chance, just as Joel Tomkins did. Once he's told there's no ch...

Re: Still stuck in the mud! - Development updates

On construction sites generally, the Government has written an open letter saying 'thank you for carrying on working', much as they have to manufacturing so if you can get materials then you're good to go

Re: France v England

Is finally putting Daley to the wing an admission that he might not be the best full back around? Curry at 8 is odd, but by no means unusual for Eddie to play players out of position just to shoehorn them into the team. Mike Brown on the wing, Farrell at centre, daily at fullback, Laws at 6, it seem...

Re: Saracens Cap Investigation / Grounds for Appeal

I'm confused, if they are immediately releasing players so they aren't over the cap then that means they've played half of the season breaking the rules which would mean they should be punished again next season. It would also bring into disrepute the results of their fixtures so far this season Th...

Rumours around that Bristol couldn't match our offer. I'll be very happy if he stays a bit longer!

Re: Trouble at mill - May to go?

Well, if those saying May is past his best, is injury prone etc are right, he won't get a decent offer from elsewhere and will stay. If he's been offered way under what he can earn elsewhere, then he ought to go for his own sake. I'd like him to stay, but then I'd say the same for the others being s...

Re: Kiwi hypocrites strike again!

I'm not adverse to the Haka, it seems good fun. However, when a team gets into 'trouble' for not respecting it, whether by ignoring it or confronting it (and sometimes the crowd being a bit too loud during it!), it seems a tad hypocritical that the MAB's don't in turn respect another teams dance.

Re: Leicester Tigers up for sale for £60 Million

Lots of calls on this board for change at the top, now there's going to be change at the top so I expect massive handwringing.... In business, there's always a desire to see a return. However, unless you're into asset stripping, then there needs to be a return year on year. The Tigers product is Rug...
