Re: Headhunters to help RFU choose next England coach

Reliably informed Mallett would jump at it but as of a week or so ago had not yet be asked. I think he is the man for the job but would put many noses out of joint.

Re: Sarries no longer playing in Cape Town

Perhaps has something to do with part owners of Sarries being the ex management company of the CT stadium which is a white elephant I and my fellow rates payers will be subsidising for many a year.First time I have known the WPRU to show any backbone, resisting being bullied into moving from one of ...

Re: We ARE on the box this weekend!

Afraid my feelings about Sky commentators are too deeply entrenched to be absolutely objective, but had an interesting comment from my SA born son. All the european rugby in SA is screened under the same banner, whether sourced from sky, BBC, ESPN, but mainly from sky. My son was unaware of this, bu...

Re: The Quiet Man of Leicester

I believe Heyneke Meyer is director of something at the Bulls, ie not doing anything useful, while the current coach , with an abysmal record prior to his appointment, is there on a jobs for pals basis.Hence the Bulls are running out of steam. {as have the Springboks, after the appointment of a non ...

Re: Myburgh

Saw him play a few times for Western Province, solid, reliable but didn't think he would develop into anything special. Very much third choice at that time. Hopefully I am wrong. Not sure where he will fit into the Tiger's setup.

Re: A Tiger signs for Sarries

He has been playing club rugby in Cape Town [for the university of cape town] , played provincial and super rugby very briefly and unfortunately was not an immediate success so has been frozen out of the provincial setup.Wages are currently probably less than 2k per month, so I imagine he would play...

Re: Thomas the Tank for England!

230+ saffas played rugby overseas in 2010, mainly in England, France and Italy. I don't believe it is good for anybodies game if it is all one way traffic.

Re: Vuvuzelas at WR?

I would recommend a preemptive ban at WR, don't let them get a foot in the door.It was a pleasure watching SA vs France at Newlands with 50,000 others who enjoy a bit of peace and quiet, the day after having to watch France vs Uruguay wearing earplugs at the Capetown stadium.

Re: Brits 'our time has come'

Brits was always a crowd favourite when he played for western province/stormers,it was hard not to like the guy. Unfortunately throwing the ball and scrumming were never his strength, made worse by the rest of the front row being lightweight. When we got a proper hooker he ended up on the bench , mai...
