Re: Lions Squad: 2001 vs 2005 vs 2009
Shaw could be another one. Right, because when choosing a successor to an ageing and injury prone captain a sensible choice is to pick a 37 year old injury prone player who is not good enough for the starting line up and is begging his club to actually offer him a contract for next season so he has...

Re: Wales - All Blacks
Unfortunately I don't think it'll be Eng this year, fear we're going to be going home early- not enough class and attack around the park to challenge the big guns! Would be great to get a backline that fires on all cylinders from the word go in every game- possibly the 6N can bring us that? Other th...

Re: Wales - All Blacks
NZ too clinical. Giving the world a lesson in how to build up to a world cup- just hope Eng can give them a lesson in how to perform at one

Re: England vs SA
Agree he's learned a lot, but think opposition learned more! He was subdued against a tenacious Samoa and almost anonymous against the Boks. Care played better, but Ben just needs to back himself and go, we all know what he can do when he's in the right mindset. Of course it didn't help that he bare...

Re: England vs SA
Anyone else think Ben Youngs bottled it? Seems he gets a bit scared whenever he gets roughed up, doesn't attack the fringes of the rucks and barely plays on the gain line when someone (spies today) bullies him...

Re: Is Richie McCaw the invisible man?
I think that one of the problems with catching McCaw cheat is that he's so good at playing the game legally, it's probably hard for referees to catch him when he's playing illegally. They can't penalise him every time they think he might have won it illegally, because chances are half the time it'll...

Re: The Haka, and other challenges
Think two of the greatest moments I've seen in rugby were when Cockers stood up to his opposite number and when England fans sang Swing Low over the haka in 2002. Couldn't have made the atmosphere any better, and to watch the haka in silence wouldn't be right! It should be a confrontation on both si...

Re: Tigers in talks with 2 Aussies
Plus Robinson is good in the loose, and can probably hold his own against lesser props, particularly with a stronger front row partnership to play with click here for story I doubt it. They both suck. John Smit called Robinson the hardest opponent to scrummage against in the 2009 Tri Nations and if ...

Re: England Centre Pairing - your vote
Tait, bless him, is gone gone gone. Waldouck not good enough. Only really good 12 around is T.Flood. Good 13? Virtually no-one at present. Billy may make it at 12, Manu will if he stays injury free, within the next year or so. Tait isn't gone, the guy's only 24!! Playing this brand of rugby would s...

12 Waldouck, 13 Tait. Young, both effective in attack and defence, both better players than Hape and Tindall.

Re: Mike Ruddock leaves Worcester
Wuss always had a cracking set piece, they just needed some attacking impetus. Shame neither Gear nor Latham could get them firing, but I'm sure they'll bounce back soon enough

I thought they were merging to teams together! My badLeinsterCormac wrote:
There will be two Italian "super-teams" in the ML, not just one. Treviso and Aironi (mostly Calvisano) and they will both compete in the HEC.
