Re: Premier league final day.
I think the only thing we can learn from soccer is how not to do things. The cap keeps things competitive and, whilst I would like to see more alignment with France/Ireland, an unrestricted, free for all market is surely a road to ruin.

7s ethics?
In the world 7s tournament an English player stood behind the Argentine goal line for 2 minutes unchallenged and then dotted down. This winding down of the clock meant both England and Argentina qualified at the expense of Canada. Smart, but hardly in the spirit of the game. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sp...

Ashton in for Nadolo, he's looking hungry in defence and attack every time I've seen him play. Nadolo, sadly, slow and lumbering and kicks the ball like an old fashioned prop.

Re: Tigers v Newcastle (A) 21st May 2022 KO 15:00
Lots of passes went astray, not just Wiggy's. When Ashton very nearly scored in the first 90 seconds I thought we might be in for watching Newcastle get a lambasting. But it all calmed down, communication seemed poor, there was inaccuracy and, something I'd hoped we'd eliminated, uncertainty. This w...

One good thing was the small number of penalties we conceded and our disruption of their lineouts and scrums.

We’ve won by 22 away from home and the usual suspects are saying it’s not enough of a performance to win against Wasps. This after a spell where I’m sure a broken leg affected some players. Can’t have been easy seeing your mate laying there like that. Great performance. Excuse me, I'm not in the &q...

So if Saints can deny a TBP win then we only need 1 point to secure 1st.

Terrible injury to Dolly. This is a game between 1st and 10th but it doesn't look like it. The unforced errors have made us slow and blunted our attack. We should be way ahead. Some of our defending has been poor too. Allowing breaks through the same hole in successive plays???? I hope Borthers is g...

And, according to Ben Kay, players who, when they get to the line, "don't panic".

For those who follow this sort of thing, does anyone have any stats on how accurate these bookies have been? If they're anything like the Today programme racing tipster, it will be little better than chance.
