Re: Black Lions match
I think your plan is a good one not just to give the youngsters game time but to protect seniors in what may be a bruising encounter. The Black Lions will want to prove themselves; we still want to win against Sale and Exeter and unnecessary injuries ain't the way to do it.

Re: Doom and Gloom
If you believe half the twaddle on this forum, you'd think that Tigers are the only club to suffer from: - international call ups - injuries to key players - dodgy referees - media bias - obsession with kicking away possession - churn of coaching team - star players underperforming If so, perhaps a...

Re: Doom and Gloom
Not bothered about Europe but happy for the clubs finances If Gloucester were to win the Challenge Cup, they would take the 8th English place in the Champions Cup....Tigers would then be in the Challenge Cup if they finish 8th! Ohhhhh and that would really be the final nail in the coffin for this s...

Re: Doom and Gloom
Perhaps a naive query, but here I go. What is Aled actually doing with the England set up when there is only planning to do? Is he visiting clubs to check on players - advise them?
My point is, is there any way he could be re-hired as a part-time consultant?

Re: Doom and Gloom
The fitness, or lack of it, is interesting. Yesterday, I was impressed by the speed of all of our players getting back to their feet and into position when defending - snuffing out Bristol attacks, and I thought at the time, how tiring that looked. The bench just did not bring the same levels of ene...

Re: Tigers social post about threats
I was like most disappointed at today's result, however if we as a club are starting down the road of attracting so called supporters with football supporter mentality then the rugby family is doomed. If this is the way the game is going I will after holding a season ticket for 37 years will walk a...

Re: Tigers v Bristol (H) - Premiership - Saturday 27th April 2024 - KO: 15-00
The tactic of "kick to compete" seems to me to have become more dangerous with players batting the ball backwards in broken field play with no real control on where the ball will end up.

Re: Tigers v Bristol (H) - Premiership - Saturday 27th April 2024 - KO: 15-00
What was better? Handling - fewer passes went behind/ over/ into touch. Cohesion - The defensive structure held together really well for 70 minutes What was worse/the same? We were mauling them to bits on their 5m line while they were playing 7s scoring opportunities going amiss Decision making. Yes...

Re: Doom and Gloom
Let's not forget that the first 5 matches were lost and we were missing out on 10 first team players.

Richard Cockerill’s damning assessment of Scottish Rugby
Cockers is in Scotland for the a match with his Georgians and has pulled no punches in his assessment of the Scottish RFU setup. https://www.msn.com/en-gb/sport/football/if-you-re-not-very-good-at-your-job-you-don-t-leave-richard-cockerill-s-damning-assessment-of-scottish-rugby/ar-AA1nEdaE?ocid=msed...

Re: Tigers v Bristol (H) - Premiership - Saturday 27th April 2024 - KO: 15-00
Shillcock is a pretty good player, but he isn't good enough to be a starter in a side looking to challenge for the biggest honours, the 22 shirt is his best position. Completely agree. And while Brown has been fantastic for us and you can’t question his commitment, he’s not a regular starting 15 ei...

Re: Tigers v Saints (A) - Premiership - Saturday 20th April 2024 - KO: 15-05
I don't think O H-C is uninterested (he's certainly not disinterested) yet something seems to have happened. Handre has not hit his straps, the back line seems to lack understanding and communication. Perhaps this is all down to a lack of an experienced and competent attack coach, perhaps the lack o...
