Re: European finals weekend - May 2022
Apologies, Steve. Yes that was the incident I was thinking of. For the other discussed, I was off stuffing my face.

Time on the board
Why is the time on the board one hour out when you log in?
This post timed 8 01; it is actually 9 01

Re: European finals weekend - May 2022
I thought Pearce and Tempest missed quite a lot. Pearce and linesmen missed a number of offsides. And did anyone else wonder if the Eztebeth incident should also have been a penalty try, not just a yellow card?
I suppose the thinking may be, if the tackle had been legal a try was not certain.

Lots of errors; some good stuff, some quick backs but very curate's egg.

Re: Tigers vs Wasps - 04th June 2022 KO 15:00
:smt027 I’ve said it before, Nadolo can create something out of nothing and in a knock out game, that could be the difference. His defence isn’t that bad, yes, the quicker guys are hard to handle for him, but for everyone else as well. Having witnessed Ford emploring him to get back in the defensiv...

That's why there's a question mark. You said he's not in charge; the article says different.

Re: Tigers v Leinster (H) - Saturday 07th May 2022 - 5-30pm KO
Big article in today's Times on Stuart Lancaster; "From an England failure to Leinster's most prized asset". It recounts how he has used 60 players in 26 matches and beat Munster last Saturday without a single first team player. They run 3 sides in training and will lose 17 - 20 players t...

Plan to rein in Eddie's successor
According to Alex Lowe in The Times, senior officials are drawing up plans to have the next England coach (current favourite Baxter) report to a director of rugby. Currently, Eddie reports to the CEO who has no rugby experience and so the coach has a great deal of power. Jeff Blackett first proposed...

Re: Premier league final day.
I think the only thing we can learn from soccer is how not to do things. The cap keeps things competitive and, whilst I would like to see more alignment with France/Ireland, an unrestricted, free for all market is surely a road to ruin.

7s ethics?
In the world 7s tournament an English player stood behind the Argentine goal line for 2 minutes unchallenged and then dotted down. This winding down of the clock meant both England and Argentina qualified at the expense of Canada. Smart, but hardly in the spirit of the game. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sp...

Re: Tigers vs Wasps - 04th June 2022 KO 15:00
Ashton in for Nadolo, he's looking hungry in defence and attack every time I've seen him play. Nadolo, sadly, slow and lumbering and kicks the ball like an old fashioned prop.

Re: Tigers v Newcastle (A) 21st May 2022 KO 15:00
Lots of passes went astray, not just Wiggy's. When Ashton very nearly scored in the first 90 seconds I thought we might be in for watching Newcastle get a lambasting. But it all calmed down, communication seemed poor, there was inaccuracy and, something I'd hoped we'd eliminated, uncertainty. This w...
