Re: French rugby 2020/2021

Castres are on a poor run of form... Indeed. Due to covid, they've only played 4 matches and the only one they won was a narrow win in the opening match at relegation favourites Agen. And it ain't going to get easier! There next two matches are Racing (h) and Toulouse (a), although these two clubs ...

Re: Formerly of this parish

I've just read that former Tiger, Leon Lloyd, is a member of the rugby disciplinary panel that will adjudicate on the citing of Bernard le Roux's alleged foul play against Alun Wyn Jones in last Saturday's France v Wales match in Paris.

Good man, Leon!

Re: Premiership Final hit by Covid!

As a neutral, I'm very much looking forward to the game with teams of contrasting styles.
Exeter will surely play to their strengths, and if they win, fair enough. However, if Wasps' backs can find one or two gaps in the Chiefs' defence we could be in for an entertaining game.

Re: Offside at a kick off

I do get fed up with offside at kickoff, and in general. Badly policed all round. Squint put-ins? So many throws down the nearside channel through the locks feet as to be normal. The game is being let to ruin in the names of 'continuity' and 'entertainment'. What this man said........ In spades ......

Re: Bye Bye Boris

Why not look at this in a positive and less selfish approach and consider this as a feather in the club’s cap in having contributed in the development of a top-notch forwards’ coach?

Hi! Recently moved to Derby from Scotland.

Previously Glasgow Warriors Season Ticket holders but we will be coming along to cheer on Tigers once crowds are allowed back.
Hello, Laguna! Welcome!

Maybe the crowds will be back early in the new year. I certainly hope so.

Re: Transfers and Rumours Non-Tigers 2019-20

Outstanding Castres back-row Anthony Jelonch (24 yrs 2 French caps) has signed a 3-year contract with Toulouse from the end of the current season.
He'll replace 37-year old ex All Black Jerome Kaino, who's due to retire at the end of this season.
An excellent signing for the current French champions.

Re: European finals 2020

The refereeing was poor with mixed messages to players all match but that penalty awarded against Racing on Exeter's line late on with the Exeter player clearly in at the side was a shocker in my opinion. On such decisions are matches won or lost. A couple of silly mistakes cost Racing dearly. I'm ...

Re: European finals 2020

Robespierre, I assume, has some association with France and so can understand his support for Racing against Exeter but for me it's England Vs France. If I were to support a "second" English club it would be Exeter as they seem to have achieved what Tigers should aspire to ( and once had). Strong t...

Former U20 prop, Georges-Henri Colombe is in Racing’s starting XV against Exeter tomorrow, and could be considered for the 6Nations in the new year.
