Re: Dan Tuohy

I think he was only at Leicester for a couple of months, on loan, if I remember correctly.
For the last couple of seasons he's played for French ProD2 team Vannes, who are currently in a respectable 8th place.

Re: England v Ireland

I don't think I'm alone in thinking that this unbalanced England side will be on the end of an embarassing defeat tomorrow. Firstly, the Irish back row is a tried, tested and experienced trio at this level, whereas the English back row, fine individual players that they are, isn't. Curry may one day...

Re: 6 Nations 2020

Who the hell is Cretin? I would have Tolofua over him, shame Poirot hasn't made the cut either but a good team who I hope will do the job over Wales. Dylan Cretin (let's hope he doesn't live up to his surname come Saturday evening!) is a wing forward with Lyon and is there because I think there's a...

Re: 6 Nations 2020

I do hope Dupont is fit, he makes the game worth watching on his own. Looking at the fixtures this weekend, I was trying to think tactically. With France unbeaten so far and their wonderfully entertaining style against Wales, already down one and capable of stopping a grand slam, who do I support? ...

Re: SARRIES FUTURE

Yes! Saracens is one of the oldest clubs in the country whose reputation has only recently been tarred. A year in the second tier should give them the opportunity of rebuilding and hopefully regaining their place in the Premiership on an honest basis. Other top clubs will be more than aware of Sarac...

Re: Is this a case of....

I reckon this "statement" - whether concocted by Wyn Jones himself or team management - is aimed more directly at the Referee than the French. Mathew Carley is inexperienced at this level and this is an attempt to sow a seed of expectation in his head - a similar tactic with a top official, say Way...

Props always look bewildered when a penalty is given against them so I very much doubt they ever do anything untoward.
Ah yes! The “what me, ref?” facial expression, trying to look as innocent as a choirboy!

Re: Is this a case of....

Frankly, I’m disappointed (not surprised) that the BBC consider this to be newsworthy. Is there any front row, at whatever level, that doesn’t try to get the upper hand, by fair means or foul? Matthew Carley has to be a more than competent referee to be selected for a big 6N game and I’ve no doubt h...

As good as Dupont is, Serin is a seriously good understudy.
If only Serin had an English Granny!

Re: French rugby 2019/20

Round 15 was played at the weekend and here are the results: Agen 24 Castres 43. Racing 30 Toulouse 27. Bordeaux 37 Lyon 19. Montpellier 31 Bayonne 29. Pau 20 Clermont 23. Toulon 34 Brive 17. SF 21 La Rochelle 20. So the top of the table match was dominated by Bordeaux. There were a few close games...
