Re: European cups draw

Tigers should be pleased with that draw, although away wins in Cardiff and Pau will not be easy. Pau didn't have the best of seasons in the Top14 and finished 11th but nonetheless will be a tough nut to crack in their home stadium. For travelling to Pau, there are two airports in the region, Tarbes/...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2019/20 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD

You might want to look at this https://www.eurostar.com/uk-en/train/france/london-to-marseille Looks good to me! You'll either have to change in Lille (just a change of platform) or in Paris (change of station Gare du Nord/Gare de Lyon), so changing in Lille would by far the simpler option, and it ...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2019/20 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD

He was 'most difficult opponent' because of his scrummaging ability, not his handling. With the utmost respect Tom, I think you need to watch this. Apart from his renowned scrummaging ability he displays some excellent handling including one outrageous "out the back door" pass, some crunching tackl...

Allez Toulouse! Up the red and black!
Salut, Dai! Not the best of matches but Toulouse’s willingness to move the ball paid dividends. Did you see the game on t’internet? The motto “jeu de mains, jeu toulousain” certainly applied yesterday!

Re: France - end of season round up.

A deserved win got Toulouse whose defence was watertight. Shame for Kayser, but he gave his all and had a wonderful career!

Re: France - end of season round up.

Clermont for me too, because of Kayser. What a pair o' sentimental aul' burghers! Ok, I'm a Toulouse supporter but I certainly wouldn't begrudge a winner's medal to Kayser! Ahh, Also have a soft spot for Toulouse and glad to see them 'on the up' again, would have been a harder choice if Floody was ...

Would love to see Kayser walk away with a winner's medal. I know - sentimental old fool!

Re: Transfers & Rumours Non-Tigers 2018-19

O'Gara has a great reputation for a young coach. It will be interesting to see how he does as a head coach. There's still no news on whether Joe Worsley will continue at Bordeaux. He was named head coach on a temporary basis after Rory Teague left but there's been no news of whether he will continu...

Re: Challenge Cup 19/20

It may be just me, but I don't give a monkey's... about this cup. Next season we must be fully focused on the league and I'd use this competition like the other cup to develop new talent, bring in those returning from injury and give those that need it a rest (especially the internationals). Part o...

Re: Transfers & Rumours Non-Tigers 2018-19

Ronan O'Gara has been appointed head coach of La Rochelle who reached the play-off semi-finals last weekend. He'll be under the Director of Rugby Jono Gibbes, the former Ulster head coach. O'Gara is currently attack coach for the Crusaders and leaves for La Rochelle at the end of this season and he'...

Re: Next season

Currently we don't know the final coaching and squad make up and I have no lofty expectations for the coming season. So rather than fret and shove my BP through the ceiling I am going to sit back, cheer my team and enjoy the rugby whichever side is playing it. BP? Now what could that be? The mind b...
