Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2023/24 - KANGAROO MCKELLER: Do you come from a land down under? (Squad thread pt 2)

I'm not sure we do have the locks to make that move. Certainly Chessum Jnr may make it, but he's too untested to move George. Carnduff is a 6 and Tom Manz is probably off as he's not made it to this point. Beets is coming in and will be competing with Hatherall for the 8 shirt next season. Hatheral...

I'm not sure what your point is. Neither of us is advocating losing George Martin or not picking him. We're talking about bringing in someone new who we can rotate with Martin and keep the physicality we need. Sorry if I didnt make it clear, Im moving him to No 8, he has all the qualities to replac...

Re: Tigers v Newcastle (A) - Premiership - Friday 29th March 2024 - KO: 19-45

Mixture of what i would go with and what i think McKellar will go with. Cronin, Montoya, Heyes, Martin, Wells, Hanro, Cracknell, Wiese, JvP, Pollard, OHC, Kata, Scott, Bassett, Steward Bench of FTT, Cronin, Hurd, Hatherall, Rogerson, Lenny, Shillcock, Phil C Personally i would start Whitcombe, and ...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2023/24 - KANGAROO MCKELLER: Do you come from a land down under? (Squad thread pt 2)

I've been saying this for a while now. My preference as soon as Wiese said he was going was to find a nasty lock/6 hybird type player that sale do really well with finding. (Largely because Wiese is pretty much impossible to replace like for like) He will always give his all, but the drop from Mart...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2023/24 - KANGAROO MCKELLER: Do you come from a land down under? (Squad thread pt 2)

I know it didn't go down too well on here when i suggested it last time, but i do stand by thinking that we need to look at upgrading Harry Wells. I appreciate he is a good club man, but the last 2 games against Gloucester he was completely ineffective. Tbh i'd say the same about the Ealing game as...

Re: Tigers vs Gloucester (H) - Premiership - Friday 22nd March 2024 - KO:19.45

A couple of thoughts from me. I thought we did try to play a more attacking game, I saw some pace down the right wing in the first half but I think our attack is based on flat passing and we give too many flat man and ball passes resulting in dropped balls. I think we need to pull the ball back some...

Re: Tigers vs Gloucester (H) - Premiership - Friday 22nd March 2024 - KO:19.45

Like the majority I was not too chuffed with last night's performance. I left with 2 key points; 1- Glos looked/were sharper, and 2- Oh those missed kicks! The only pos was 2 league points (4 tries & within 7). Saints beaten, Quins are being thumped; we are not alone in a crowded small league. ...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2023/24 - KANGAROO MCKELLER: Do you come from a land down under? (Squad thread pt 2)

Many excited by our new signings. We have signed a South African Under20's player to add to our home produced English and Welsh Under 20's who are not getting much game time. We have gone to a poor Ospreys team for a prop not selected for the Wooden Spoon winning Welsh side and we have gone to the ...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2023/24 - KANGAROO MCKELLER: Do you come from a land down under? (Squad thread pt 2)

It was Ben White or JVP in all reality fighting for Ben Youngs back up. No way White would've played 3rd choice behind JVP or Youngs. Whereas Wigglesworth was just wanting a playing contract not a coaching one that Sarries was offering. The Idea that Wigglesworth was the one who pushed White out IM...
