Re: Thoughts & conclusions on the season.

Struggling to get to what/who he means. Assume sarcasm about the lack of support shown by some fans. I think the 'mint people' are his team-mates and the 'thanks' to the supporters are genuine. I thought the same about the "mint " people. I recall he has been more ambivalent about some supporters i...

Re: Graham Kitchener

I too would like to wish him well, I was always a fan, sadly he came in for some unjustified criticism by some who obviously did not see the skills he had in the lineout. Yes he was no world beater but he was a very good lineout organiser and i'm not sure that Callum Green is as good.

Re: Dear Murphs

I attended a forum a few months ago, as did many others, in which the full coaching staff sat on the podium answering questions and giving their insights into the future of the club. At the time I came away impressed with what I'd heard that night. They all seemed to know what they were talking abo...

He's a barrister. I thought the idea behind the retirement was to concentrate on his legal career and young family.

Re: Proud of you v Bath

I too had a word with Clayton, as I was walking up Welford Road to go to my car, he was walking with his wife? and young child, it looked like he was showing them around. I asked him if he would like to stay and he assured me he would. I asked if he had to go back to Scarlets, I didnt fully understa...

Re: Tigers vs Bath

LE18 has kindly posted to correct my spelling mistake. I don't do that sort of thing anymore as spelling correctors and predictive texting occasionally embarrass us all. I have to smack my hand when people post "of" instead of "have". But if it makes you feel better?? I'm sorry Smudge, i'm old and ...

Re: France - end of season round up.

ProD2 semi-finals this weekend: Saturday 18th 18h30 Oyonnax v Bayonne Sunday 19th 14h15 Brive v Vannes Vannes, in the south of Brittany (not exactly known as a rugby hotbed!), is a relatively young club having been founded in 1950 and were promoted to ProD2 in May 2016 so have only had two seasons ...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2018/19 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD PART 7

Possibly. Also wouldn't read Denton not being confirmed as off as anything yet, could be waiting for insurance to clear if that is true, or he might be fine same with Stevens. Anyway currently leaves the squad as for next season. 1. Genge, Bateman, Gigena, Hills, 2. Kerr, Polota-Nau, Polota-Nau, Cl...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2018/19 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD PART 7

I think you should all discount Denton, if we have him next season great, but I really think that he is going to have to retire from the rumours I have heard.

Re: Tigers vs Bath

How could Tigers v Bath not be meaningful? We played for the best part of a century with nothing more at steak than pride. Hopefully, both teams will play an open and expansive game to the enjoyment of all. I hope that steak was not eaten before the match, or they certainly would not have had a sta...

Re: Weekend match thread

Big win for Clermont, what power what speed, great contest, win turnover after turnover, wish we could play like that, our players just don't have that power.

I'm absolutely delighted to see the best winger in England get the recognition he deserves.
What has he got?
