Re: Farrell out of Six nations
He is obviously a far more complex character than most of us realise. I absolutely do not and will never boo an England player in any circumstances. Where I think he falls down is in his media presence and in the way he screams at referees on the pitch. The first point, when Sarries were caught in t...

Re: Rugby World Cup warm up games
I was at the game, red card all day long, bonkers.
How do we protect players when you have people being allowed to do this.
If I was Basham I think I would feel very very aggrieved.
The Welsh public are going to have a field day.
Not withstanding we looked 10 times better when Ford came on.

Re: Exiles set for Exile?
I just had a glance at the club's 2022 accounts. Revenue was £22m of which £9m was commercial revenue £3m released from the CVC deal, £4m from TV rights and £6m from actual rugby. Costs are not sufficiently broken down to enable a split between matchday/rugby costs and other costs. Total staff costs...

Re: Exiles set for Exile?
I don't disagree, but finding the highlights these days is a bit of a mission.
When it was on Ch5 at 7pm on a Monday you knew where to go.

Re: Exiles set for Exile?
Traditional TV needs to show more games and highlights.
If people can't see the game because they don't have Sky or BT, then the only rugby they see are internationals.
How does the young boy or girl who might play at school or for a local club learn about Premiership rugby if he /she never sees it.

Re: Exiles set for Exile?
League fixtures being played on international days is frankly stupid, from a fan point of view. How can you be at both, you are diluting your audience. International players still get rest, as they are only allowed to play so many games. The more junior players will still get game time. Play on Thur...

Re: Exiles set for Exile?
To speed the game up bring back proper rucking, and by that I don't mean treading on players or stamping.
It keeps people on their feet rather than flopping on the ground and reduces the thudding impacts - which cause concussion.
Speed up the game and keep players safer. Win Win.

Re: Exiles set for Exile?
Whether you like it or not rugby is a business. A simplistic analysis of any business/rugby club should look at the following. History plays a part, in that it defines how your club entered professional rugby in 1995. Such as: 1. What was the internal structure of the club, owned or a trust type arr...

Re: England Squad - Autumn Internationals
I was there and it was a strange game. Both sides looked pretty even, both coughed up dumb penalties from time to time, both weren't that good in attack. Other than Boffeli's try no real backs moves seemed to work as defence on top. As to criticism of certain players, I just watched it on TV and You...

Re: Single use paper cups?
Had a single us paper cup at London Irish on Saturday - Brentford Community stadium.
I was so thirsty I would have drunk out of the groundsman's boot.
I personally hate reuseable plastic ones. It takes all sorts though.

Re: Worrying attendances
I was in London on Saturday and went to the Irish v Worcester game. Tickets cost £20 full price and £15 for a young adult. So even in today's difficult times not too bad. Beer was £6.00 and Guinness £6.75. Attendance less than 7000, in a stadium which holds 17250. The Brentford Stadium is a really n...

I always find it interesting to read the other side's press. In the Irish Times article Leo Cullen claims the pitch was heavily watered and players were slipping over in the warm up. https://www.irishtimes.com/sport/rugby/european-cup/leinster-show-all-their-experience-to-keep-feisty-tigers-at-bay-1...

Blamire - last week comes on as a replacement for England V Ireland, throws one not straight and dropped.
This week reserve in the noddy cup, not even at hooker!
