Re: Are Guinness Premiership teams being held back by England?
Anglo Welsh club encounters are traditionally sell-outs. The Magners league can be left to Irish, Scots, Italians and Newport for all I care. It's nothing but a series of glorified training sessions anyway. Cardiff, Ospreys and Llanelli would more than hold their own against the best clubs in Engla...

Re: Leicester team for Viadana
People blabbering on about 36 every week are starting to get on my nerves. He's a good player and prospect but let's not turn him into another messiah as has been done to Cipriani by others.

Re: Ospreys versus Tigers
Beyond the fourth try the amount scored against Viadana would only matter if it comes down to a tie between us and a team from another pool for one of the best runner up spots or, assuming we can top the group, to decide seeds.

Re: Tigers v Bath (LV=Cup)
The Newport game in the Anglo-Welsh earlier in the season brought in over 16000, unless the weather is particularly bad I'm pretty sure Bath can outdo that.MurphysLaw wrote:I'm not as optimistic as others about the crowd, despite it being Bath - 14-16000 is my guess.

Re: Leicester v Viadana
Physiodan, Vesty would be the goal kicker in that line up. He was taking the kicks in an A league game last month in which both he and 36 started.

I expect the Tigers v. Viadana match will be shown via the red button as the corresponding fixture in round two was.

Re: Live discussion - Tigers v Wasps
Just something I spotted watching the game back for the second time. They (Sky) were very quick to highlight the knock on from Crane at the scrum from which Murphy scored his try, but not one mention of, what seemed to be from where I was standing and also from the TV coverage, a massively forward ...

Re: Dual Registered Good/Bad?
The best players will be snapped up by Premiership clubs regardless of dual registration.Darc Tiger wrote: But will the tier 2 clubs ever get any better if 50% of their squads are youngsters who will be snapped up to tier 1 when they look good enough? Its just delaying a problem surely?

Re: Teams for Saturday
I think Darc Tiger is right, there is an awful lot of overreaction to Staunton's selection. He might be a very conservative choice but he will provide stability to the game which is what we need for this kind of match. Edit: g, we'll see how they feel when they realise that when we take off our firs...

Re: Teams for Saturday
If you look on the bright side, on current form Staunton is probably the best tactical kicker out of the three of them and it'll be a tight game where kicking will likely be important.
That said, I'd still have gone for Vesty myself.

Re: Geordan & Bubbles to stay … Aaron to go?
Yeah, he has started to hit good form since those games. I still don't think we should keep him on though. He's expensive and even if he stays on when the season ends he'll never be a long term prospect.

Actually based on them taking insurance out on that 250k goal kicking challenge they had at the springboks game I'm sure you're right, Jose.

Yeah, I don't think they've had a sell out all season. It does show their ambition though.
