Re: Please get behind your team v Exeter
I’m afraid Jaspers temper got the best of him with that lift in the ruck. He had been deliberately targeted throughout the match on Baxter’s orders obviously. Throughout the match he had to be tended to three times with a shoulder injury because the Exeter players were smashing him in the rucks. Pri...

Re: Leinster mind games begin? - Champions Cup (A) - Saturday 06th April 2024 - KO:8:00pm
Unfortunately when Ireland scored their 3rd try I switched off to watch the snooker. I definitely thought it would be a cricket score, and was therefore pleasantly surprised when I saw the final score of Ireland 36 - Leicester Tigers 22. I am quite disappointed in myself for doing so. What I did see...

Re: Tigers v Newcastle (A) - Premiership - Friday 29th March 2024 - KO: 19-45
Just to highlight that Dickson was all over the place last night. His first mistake was to ignore World Rugbys guidelines to speed the game up, especially at caterpillar breakdowns and resetting scrums. Perhaps he was emulating Carley last week. In the second half when resetting a scrum a Newcastle ...

Re: Saracens - Harlequins TMO
A 10 second delay as TMO back up was used by Matthew Carley to ignore a knock on by Gloucester and a potential penalty, quoting his comment as being “Too late the game has moved on”
When the referee makes his own rules up, where do we go from here. ?

Re: Ealing PRC game info
I’m amazed that nobody spotted the the possible red card incident. When the TMO spotted that an Ealing player had kicked the ball out of Whiteleys hands at the base of a ruck, correctly, he, for some unknown reason didn’t spot an Ealing player immediately tackle Whiteley with a swinging arm straight...

Re: Warren Gatland's idea's for the game
I agree with the removal of the caterpillar as it adds no value to the game whatsoever.
With it being quite obvious that the referees are not enforcing the five second law it’s
becoming one of the biggest time wasters in a match.
The authorities want the game speeded up so just do it……>>

Re: Eddie Jones resigns as Australia coach
I think what a lot of people are forgetting, is the reason McKellar walked away from the National Coach Appointment in Australia. He was very disappointed/angry with the way the ARU dealt with the sacking of Dave Rennie. McKeller resigned from his role under Dave Rennie after the brutal sacking. He ...

Re: Tigers v Sale (A) - Friday 30th December 2022 - KO:19:45
George Ford had a massive influence on this game, as Sanderson eluded to after the game “George has helped enormously with his experience of Leicester Tigers” Tigers have never been comfortable playing against rush defence’s, George knows that. Sale stifled us at the breakdown, and we had no answer ...

Re: Tigers post Borthwick - next Head Coach?
[ulist=] It's a massive loss and in my honest opinion will kill any hopes for success this season. You can't lose two of your most influential coaches, which equates to almost a third of your coaching staff and not suffer. Wiggy is a great guy but he has almost zero coaching experience and consideri...

Re: Premiership Final v Saracens - 18th June 2022 KO 15:00
It just highlights the ridiculous decision by Barnes not to red card Davies. Barnes got it completely wrong as did Foley the TMO who never really offered his advice on the clearly illegal challenge. Mr Barnes should now be questioned by the RFU as to why he read the incident incorrectly Again his re...

George Fords Departure - Why ?
It is very sad news to hear that George has decided to leave, but it doesn’t surprise me. I’ve been saying for quite a while now that George’s body language has not been looking good. The only possible reason for his departure in my mind boils down to the fact that he was not made captain. When Bort...

Re: Romain Poite
As most referees do he had his good / bad days at the office, generally though quite good and very much international class. What I admired him for, was once telling the TMO in an international match he was wrong and was going to go with his own decision. Bravo. Referees are the ultimate arbiters of...

Re: Kelly cited
To say the flop to the player on the ground is innocuous is an understatement to say the least. In no way was that endangering a players welfare. If rugby is going in this direction I’ll be surprised that no less than 50% of most players in teams stand to get cited after every match. Rugby is a spec...
