Re: Team for 3rd Test
I agree with BillW2 comment entirely & I wonder what Slancaster 1st team choice will be with Farrel senior re-instated as backs coach?

Re: TBP How long before....
Tongue in cheek.
A team who does not score a try gets one third of the points if the opposing side loses & scores a try. Meaning that a team who wins a game on penalty/drop kicks only does not necessarily get winning points.
As stated tongue in cheek.

Re: The Backs Coach
I fully agree with your comment Bill W2 & 1 put the question again as previously - "What has he achieved to make him so vital to the England set-up. He has been in this position for 7 years now & has managed to go through 3 managers without any critiscism of himself. I have read recentl...

Re: French rugby round up (day 21)
ZEV STADE FAN - YOUR REPORT IS EXCELLENT, & I TOOK PARTICULAR NOTICE OF THE CLERMONT COMMENT THAT NOT MANY TEAMS LOSE AT CLERMONT FERRAND. I SPENT TIME IN THIS AREA AS I WAS AN EMPLOYEE OF MICHELIN & I PLAYED AGAINST THE MICHELIN CLERMONT TEAM IN THE 1960,S. THEIR STADIUM THEN WAS ADJACENT T...

Re: England come good
In reply to kingkol 22 imho Farrel had a less than average game other than with his place kicking ( 1 very difficult & the rest ones which are expected to be successful). His kicking out of hand was invariably collected by the opposition ( possession given away), also 2 charge downs. I do not th...

Re: Ben Youngs, back to old self
AT last a referee who punished the Irish forwards, they have been getting away with scrum scrum misdeanours every game in the 6 Nations &
this offuicial rightly punished them.

Re: The sad loss of Merv the Swerve
Like ISOMBARD was fortunate to watch Merve the Swerve in front of his own crowd at Cardiff in the 70,s when he was at his peak. A great loss to rugby. My thoughts are with his family.

Re: why have refs stopped pulling scrum halfs for feeding
Maybe to many referees have been watching the 6 Nations - Watch the scrum halves of Wales, Ireland & Scotland put the ball into the 2nd row without ever being penalised. no referee or linesman takes notice.

Best of luck for the future, whatever that maybe. A truly great player both for club & country. Outstanding memory - the chargedown in the 2003 world cup v South Africa which changed & won us the game.

RESPONDING TO BILL W2 MALLINDER HAS STATED THAT HE HAS NOT APPLIED FOR THE JOB, NEITHER HAS WAYNE SMITH. MAYBE IT IS BECAUSE THAT THE R ( SLOPING SHOULDERS ) ANDREWS IS STILL INVOLVEDS. iT SEEMS LIKELY THAT THE PRESENT TEMPORARY INCUBENTS WILL BECOME PERMANENT ALONR OFFSPRING, WHOSE KICKING IS HIS S...

Re: Loss to Exeter
Reading the comments critiscing the coaching staff on their shortcomings - imo it is time for the board to take action, whether that is to replace the present coaches or instruct them to take a ifferent approach on their game plans. The end of the season is not to far away & success for the Tige...

Re: Oh no Wayne not again.
What do the Oirish Chavball antics of the Irish manager remind you of? -- maybe he has been reading to many reports from soccer manager on their refereeing decisions watching Match of the Day supping a Guinness.
