Re: RFU halves Championship funding.

I understand that lots of international players have played, and future ones currently play, in the championship. But almost none of them are actually from championship teams, they are being loaned out or were released from premiership academies for game time. The two Bedford examples are very much...

Re: RFU halves Championship funding.

"...we do not believe it [the Championship] is the primary place where Premiership and England players are discovered and developed.” RFU statement. Ok - I'll bite - which is the "primary place" then? Pacific Islands? South Africa? A good bite, and spot on. Irreparable. Narrow-minded...

Re: Jacob Umaga

get them a proper league to play in and compete. One thing Saracens have done over the last few years is really utilize the dual registration system with many of there players turning out for Bedford in the Championship. Looking at team which played in the Premiership final 7 of them have played wi...

The scrum looked better after George came on.
Was there a scrum after George came on? He was on for the last 3 minutes.

Re: England for the weekend 2nd round

The person also said Marler gave away too many penalties, it would be interesting to see the comparison between him and Cole. According to ESPN stats Marler gave away 3 penalties, Billy Vunipola 4 and Cole 1. Ben Arous the French loosehead prop facing Cole conceded 3 penalties. Does it say how many...

Re: England for the weekend 2nd round

However yes the back row is unbalanced I would have proffered to see 6. Robshaw/Wood 7. Kvesic/Fraser (when he is fully fit I think he is better than Kvesic) 8. Vunipola/Morgan

Re: England for the weekend 2nd round

I think the people calling for lawes/launchberry to be dropped are having memory problems. Since they have started playing together as a pair they have been stand out performers. Somebody mentioned Marler definitely not being international standard. Who else are you going to play. Mako Vunipola is g...

Re: The Armitage Question rumbles on

The person who used to do the PA announcements down in Bedford is moving into the world of rugby journalism. He put this articlof his on Twitter this week and I think it shows why it is good that Lancaster does not pick Armitage as once something has been opened it is much harder to close it. https:...

Re: Transfer Rumours Thread 2013/2014 Season

Raging Bull has setup an alternative thread for this chaps. Transfer rumours preferably in this one please. Quite right kornboy! I am simply sick and tired of the same old waffle from certain people. For the past few years I have heard and read story after story regarding Harry Wells. Age grade int...
