Re: What Now For Our Season?

its been proven that currently, no English side can compete in Europe without cheating the cap. Exeter have a chance to progress this year, but I suspect few imagine they can win (hope I am wrong) The one thing I would say is we should target the top tier competition because that's what the players...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2019/20 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD PART 2

Great news re: Ellis but let's be pragmatic, he re-signed because we offered him more money than anybody else did. Or because he is settled in Leicester, gets great coaching and has been turned from Championship prop to England’s number 2 loose head prop. It’s not always all about money. Does he an...

Re: Jonny May

IMO the need to re-structure the Tigers from the the top down probably means that players such as JM will go? Unless the Tigers win their next 3 games, I believe that they will be in the relegation fight with Wasps so the Tigers marquee players will go either on loan as has Mark Wilson or just move ...

Re: Exeter Chiefs 21st December

Does it not frustrate you that a Leicester Tigers side that closely resembles our best 15 is seen as such a none threat that teams can rest some of their key players and still expect to take it on and worse than that not get that slight rammed back down their throats by one of our best performances...

We might have a chance if the game is correctly officiated.
I doubt it? Even the most inept of refs couldn't swing the game the Tigers way given the form that the Chiefs are now playing

Re: Joe Batley signed on loan today

Given Pat Lam's mindset on the type of player he sees as making the Bears a top side in all competitions, I believe Joe is a just the type of player that the Tigers will get good mileage out of while he is at WR? I read that Pat can take him back a any time and that he wants hime to get some good ga...

Re: Saints away - Saturday 30th November

The squad is more than good enough, unfortunately you can see the disunity in their game which then destroys their confidence as they just don't buy into the game plan they've been coached with. Blaming any individual payer for an entire teams lack of synergy is simply ridiculous. 100% agree with y...

Re: Saints away - Saturday 30th November

That little patch of optimism after the Cardiff win was nice, wasn't it. I take it your tongue is still in your cheek? I was in Cardiff with my welsh mates and all of us said that both sides deserved to lose, such was the pitiful display of rugby from both sides. It would appear that the standard o...

Re: European Challenge Cup - Cardiff vs Tigers

Doesn't want to rain on anyone parade. Proceeds to do so. End of the day a lot of people was moaning about this team was going to get trashed and we have given up on this competition and the lads won. Just back from Cardiff. Most of my welsh mates said the Tigers would win so I was a happy bunny wh...

Re: European Challenge Cup - Cardiff vs Tigers

My opinion is yes, some changes but not wholesale. Keep the bulk of the team that started against Pau and integrate/bring in some others, such as Taute and Genge, who need game time, but keep it sufficiently minimal to retain the game plan However, keep in mind resting players after Saints for the ...

Re: Is Lavanini going to be a liability?

The 26-year-old, the most sin-binned player in Argentina's history, admitted committing an act of foul play. May be he is? Me thinks it will be a hard job getting him to 'turn it around' immediately. Could cost the Tigers dearly?
