I still remember the good old days. Long gone now, but will return. I cannot understand how we can get 3 tries in the first half and be so bad in the second. Hopefully I am not the only one who is clueless.
However, Happy Christmas everyone.

Lovely article in today's Times, by Ben Kay about Saracens. Are they chasing Europe, or are they trying to pip us to the relegation spot?
Hope to see an article shortly on why we are last but one in the table and what the management intend to do about it.

Re: Saints away - Saturday 30th November
Murphy is quoted on the BBC as saying:
"The manner of the defeat is sickening as this is a very special one this game, which means a lot to myself and a lot of the players."
Excuse me for asking, but why not all the players?

Personally, I can't believe how low we have stooped. That's all for me today, and for a while.

It's time for honourable people to fall on their swords. Really, it is. We are now the team to beat.

Re: Saints away - Saturday 30th November
If the team with the most ball is likely to win the game (not always, of course!), but generally, then if you want to lose the game, why not keep giving it to them? It helps, and is definitely helping today. (I am not suggesting we are trying to lose BTW). But If you lose a game, it's not necessaril...

Re: Saints away - Saturday 30th November
It's not looking good. Commentator (Monye) said we were behind on skill set and control. That's about right - just not good enough.

Re: Ampthill anyone?
Could there be a greater fall from grace in the modern era? I sense Ampthill may change venues, but we shall have to see. Why should they? In any case it won't happen, will it?

Re: Bristol v Tigers
Having been a supporter all of my life, (since 1968), I can't remember the time when I did not anticipate a victory, every next game. (Irrespective of the previous result). Of course, it never worked like that, but now, I anticipate a defeat every next match. That is sad. Take that to the next Board...

Re: How to Keep Manu at Tigers
If he chooses to leave Tigers after all that the Club has done for him, then maybe the Club should reconsider its position regarding keeping absolute faith with players whose contributions (in game time over a number of years) have been so minimal owing to persistent injury. He owes us a lot, and lo...

Re: Tuilagi has knee operation
I think we are approaching the time when the balance sheet needs to be addressed. There is, thus far, too much on the debit side, and I hope (as we all do) that some credits will start to appear. Tough decisions to be taken by those in charge if we have yet another season on the fitness table.

Re: Exeter Chiefs the new (old?) Tigers?
My other half was at the Chiefs v Tigers game on New Years Eve. As a club member she had good access to the players post match - talking to TTTE, she asked him how we was liking it at Chiefs - he said he loves it, the club, the ethos, everything (although there are rumours he will be moving back to...

Re: Technical Question
My thoughts are:
1.As the attacking player simply kicked the ball away, and in doing so it crossed the touch line and out of play, then -
2. It surely must be a defensive line-out either on the 5m line, or beyond, if the ball crossed the line further down the pitch.
