Re: Alred
Interesting article and nice to see balance and perspective when talking about the SF. I still have to smile when I read the words 'Borthwick' and 'brains' in the same sentence though. Interesting watching the video at the side too. The writer states "The lighthouse, Borthwick, is also the bra...

Re: Lets all move on!!
I think it will be a close game again between the Aviva's two top sides. I hope I'm wrong, but I think it will be a repeat of last season's final, a nail-biter. I don't expect Saffas to break through our defence as easily as last year and predict us to not let them score a try. But, they will play t...

But Danny Hipkiss gives you the winning in the last minute of the game option off the bench!

Re: HC Final
The only player they rested was Shane Horgan who had a niggle remaining from the Toulouse semi-final.Hull Fan wrote:I thought they said in commentary that Lerinester had rested 5 players. I guess that means they took them off early so not playing a full 80mins.

Re: HC Final
Although we can debate the relative merits of each league (& I think we all believe the Prem to be harder), in matches between the top 6 teams from each league in this year's Heineken, it finished 8-7 to the Magners teams - which suggests that the top teams at least are equally strong in both c...

http://www.espnscrum.com/scrum/rugby/story/140014.html?addata=chromium Manu, you are not alone!!! :smt120 I watched this clip. I'm not seeing the much quoted 'knee in the back" - Ashton was close to his back but was setting himself for the "push in the back". In hindsight I think Manu...

Re: Blackett's been in NZ but he's back now.
I read somewhere that Courtney Lawes had thrown a punch in the same match in an off-the-ball incident.
I've not heard any rumblings of him possibly being cited - but wouldn't be surprised if Toby Flood is also cited for the punch thrown on the ground at the sweet innocent Dylan Hartley!

So on this basis my team would be: 1.Ayerza 2.Chuter 3.Castro 4.Mafi/Deacon - if fit 5. 6.Waldrom - works so well in tandem with Crane 7.Croft - Quicker to attack Farrell and keep pace with Britz 8.Crane 9.Youngs 10.Flood 11.Alex T 12.Allen 13.12T 14.Agulla - great sweeping and defensive winger and...

Re: Any chance of a gracious saints fan
Watching the Saffas v Glaws game on TV I was amazed at the number of handling errors Gloucester made (probably as many in one game as they've made all season!). Had they hung onto the ball rather than knocking on or dropping it, I'm sure we would now be looking at a Leicester v Gloucester final, and...

Re: Those magnificent men with their wavey flags.
Obviously the big screen isn't available at all games, but when it IS there, and Sky are running replays of the incident (albeit super slo-mo ones :smt013 ) why not let the ref (or better still FORCE the ref to) use it! Then we wouldn't be debating whether 14 men could have won against 15 men on Sat...

Re: Tigers v Northampton next Saturday
Well I've done my bit for the cause this weekend. I'm notoriously BAD at picking a winner at the bookies, so I've backed Saints at 17/10 to win tomorrow! :smt002 I admit I missed a trick in Dublin, meant to bet on Leinster then forgot - DOH! Unlucky Bob to the rescue - anyone care to sponsor me wit...

Re: Those magnificent men with their wavey flags.
If the referee is wired up to take messages from the assistant referees, why not be open to input from the TMO as well. It would stop incidents like the Wales v Ireland debacle from happening, as the TMO would have been able to rule out an unpermissable try at a glance! Also, when the Sky big screen...
