Watching the USA v Russia game now, and Chris Wyles has missed two gimmes already, both within 30 metres of the posts.
I think there may be something in this.

Re: RWC injuries
Time to crank up the choke-o-meter? Dan Carter withdrawn from NZ team for Friday due to a bad back. Assume it is just a precaution, but I am sure that the Kiwi supporters will sleep a little less soundly tonight. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/rugbyunion/international/newzealand/8761513/Rugby-Wor...

Re: Smurph injured at RWC
Sadly - you could very well be right!
Let's hope the World Cup will not have a heavy toll on the rest of the Tigers players as well, or this season could be a washout.

Re: Thoughts on England v Argentina...
Anyone notice that the World Cup organisers were not happy with the auto-peel-off numbers on England's All-Black shirts? http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/rugby_union/14878090.stm Also Jonah Lomu is not happy with our choice of away kit colours! I must admit, I prefer either the Purple or the Red away...

Re: Cockerill's start to the season
Smudge - totally agree with your comment on Kitchener, he certainly looked to not be on the same page as Chuter. Mind you, Skivington was similarly hamperered last season. It takes hours and hours of practice to learn new line-out calls, but I agree Kitchener looked undercooked. As regards TTE, I do...

Re: Thoughts on England v Argentina...
I was astonished not to see Toby Flood play some part in the Argentina game on Saturday. Just how poorly does Wilkinson have to play before he is pulled? Played way too deep, missed his kicks but still stayed on the pitch for the full 80 mins! Astounding! Jonno obviously has him as his kicker in hi...

Wasps 35 Billy Twelvetrees 29
Well played the Messiah!
It could have been a win if Chuter's throwing-in hadn't gone so badly awry!

Re: Sarries lose!
I expected this result. With not playing the London head-to-heads at home, anything can happen and often does in these openers. I also anticipated a loss by Tigers (what with the number of players being out, and Exeter being full-strength). Earlier in the day I was contemplating a 6-match accumulato...

What about another George - Skivington.
He is at least a player who tends to last the full 80 minutes, and he has plenty of experience.

Re: Leicester v Exeter
I don't want to be doom and gloom, but this IS a very disappointing result. If Steenson hadn't missed his 3 penalties we wouldn't even have a point! World Cup year saw for Deano in 2003, and I'm sure we're going to struggle until our first choice pack come back! It depends how reasonable the board a...

Re: Leicester v Exeter
Oh dear - listening on the radio it sounded like an exciting game, shame Ford couldn't sneak a second drop-goal. :smt009 I had a sneaky feeling Exeter would go one better than last year in this one - I was tempted to put some money on then at 6/1! If this is what we can expect during the World Cup t...

Re: Englands World Cup Squad *more players cut*
Surely now Tindall must not be now first choice starter and captain. Jonno has been faithful to him for far too long! I thought he was only sticking with him to get an invite to the wedding - with that now over, surely his England career should be also. Hape and Banahan should also now be out of con...

Re: How do we beat the Saracens?
Is this a one-off or are Saracens going to become Barnet Wolves!
Well it looks like it's all over bar the shouting, the 'Wolves' have already been given the trophy, so we will only be there to make up the numbers!
P.S. Speaking of Barnet - Botha SERIOUSLY needs a haircut!
