Oh dear, an eye injury isn't good! I thought it was a broken jaw from his reaction. Caught the full force of a Lowe hand-off!

Re: Tigers v Bath (H) - Premiership - Sunday 31st December 2023 - KO 3-00pm

From the Crumbie; Cloete (Bath 7) decided to have a go at Pollard, pinned him to the floor and there was a bit of throat-grabbing and face-palming until Kata shoulder charged him off. It was a bit more than push and shove but nothing citing-worthy.

Re: Tigers v Saints (H) - Premiership - Saturday 18th November 2023 - KO: 15:05

Our Younger daughter has ex Saints player as partner, she is now full on Saints, how am I going to cope with them next week? :smt017 Ouch! Very sorry to hear that. I don't know what the legal position is on divorcing one's offspring. Failing that you could move and not notify her and her partner of...

I just wish he hadn't just spent 2 months with his Japan/France based teammates comparing contracts!

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2023/24 - Crocodile McKeller: Men at Work

Looks like his early return from SA might have been via Paris rather than straight to UK! How can we compete?

RE our South Africans and their victory parades:
Seems Jasper has been spotted at Johannesburg airport about to board a flight back to the UK (so not staying for them all, after all).

Re: Tigers v Saracens (A) - Premiership - Saturday 4th November - KO:15-05

Being relaxed about when the South Africans come back might also be a way to give a subtle statement of confidence to Shillcock & Rogerson (& others) essentially saying 'You're not just placeholders for the big guns who we will drop as soon as they come back in. We are comfortable with you g...

Re: Tigers v Saracens (A) - Premiership - Saturday 4th November - KO:15-05

Might be an unpopular take but if I was in the club's shoes I'd let them enjoy the whole week (given, Pollard aside, this is generally a once in a lifetime achievement and the scale of happiness this seems to have ignited in SA) and tell them to come in once they've had a day or so back in the count...

Re: Tigers v Saracens (A) - Premiership - Saturday 4th November - KO:15-05

That makes it less likely they will feature vs Quins doesn't it? Given that the last parade takes place on the sunday, you wouldn't expect them back at Oval Park until the tuesday at the earliest.

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2023/24 - Crocodile McKeller: Men at Work

I wonder if there might be a young coach, with a playing background as the orchestrator of the attack of a very successful rugby team, who enjoys great respect amongst & relationships with the current playing squad? It would be even better if said theoretical candidate had recently become availa...

Re: Eddie Jones resigns as Australia coach

I actually think this could be the perfect time for McKellar to take the job: a coach who prides himself on giving opportunities to young players (which I have heard Dan say he is more than once) is unlikely to have a better chance to do so in Australian rugby given that expectations have been lower...

Re: Tigers v Bedford Blues (A) - Prem Rugby Cup - Saturday 07th October 2023 KO: 3-00pm

Tim Hoyt spotted on crutches in the Crumbie Stand last weekend: so injured I'm afraid. Possibly Dan McKellar believes the opportunity to see how these young players (many of whom have been/are on loan) perform against one of the Championship's better sides and whether there might be some unexpected ...

"Handre and co are part of the stand-by players, the 'ready-to-play' squad so to speak. They're currently still in camp with us, but after the New Zealand Test they leave for their clubs," said Nienaber. (Source:News24)
