Re: Borthwick

Why are people going on about November? The RFU said he leaves at the end of this season, November is in the middle of next season he won’t still be with England then It seems like there are conflicting reports: Steve Borthwick to join Leicester Tigers as head coach after England duties end: https:...

Re: Borthwick

It's still ambiguous, but to quote Eddie Jones... 'He is a loyal, hard-working and analytical coach but I understand he needs now to get out on his own following this campaign. He’s made that decision and we are really pleased for him'. To me, 'following this campaign' could mean after the 6Nations...

Re: Borthwick

So is he actually coming or not? :smt017 Almost certainly. Not been confirmed by Tigers or Borthwick yet but it’s widely expected to happen. When, seems to be slightly less clear. Some reports say post 6N but most say end of the season. https://www.leicestermercury.co.uk/sport/rugby/rugby-news/stev...

Re: Tigers during the 6N

Hardwick 11. Olowofela 12. Eastmond 13. Taute 14. Veainu 15. Steward 16. Kerr 17. Gigena 18. Heyes 19. Wells 20...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2019/20 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD PART 2

Would Costelow really cost a fortune to tie down? It all comes down to how much we want him and how important we think he will be to us. The answer might well be, not enough. if he has offers from Welsh regions he's not going to be cheap, for a 5th choice 10 it would likely be more than he is worth...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2019/20 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD PART 2

But TBF to the club LRZ and the Curry twins are all starters. Costelow is extremely talented but he isn't going to be ahead of Ford currently. I don't know what offer the scarlets are putting but he could really be starting for them next season IMO. at best Costelow is 3rd choice and realisticly he...

Re: Saracens are relegated!

I would suggest it was Tigers' failure to replace them that destroyed what was a successful team. Parling, Salvi and Waldrom all no longer play for Chiefs, yet Chiefs are still successful because they replaced them well. the point is Tigers were unable to keep them due to the cap, the failure to re...

Re: Saracens are relegated!

I'm absolutely amazed at the lack of recognition that the salary cap helped enable the Chiefs to take our players and destroy what was a successful Leicester team. It terms of levelling up the league it did that and then some. Clubs are not rewarded for their good work, others just take and profit ...

Re: Saracens Cap Investigation / Grounds for Appeal

there is no criminal action, they broke the rules of a private club and should be punished under that clubs regulations not the law of the land, unless they have defrauded HMRC, which has never been mentioned Again my knowledge is very low, and I take your point this hasn’t been mentioned, but shou...
