Re: Well done and congrats to London Welsh. Stoopid RFU, again.

The thing I wonder about is the following situation (that could very easily have happened this year) - A team with no primacy of tenure is relegated from the Premiership - A team that passes all the rules wins the championship - The following season the team with no primacy of tenure wins the champ...

Re: Well done and congrats to London Welsh. Stoopid RFU, again.

Ultimately if the policing authority decide otherwise it matters not a job what time SKY, ESPN or any other TV company want the match. Sure the likes of Tigers & City (& most other sports teams) dance to the tune of TV but ultimately the Primacy of tenure arguament ceases to be an issue if ...

Re: England and France to pull out of HC

...number of teams from each country the same in percentage terms so we end up with something like this. England - 6 from 12 France - 6 from 12 Ireland - 2 from 4 Wales - 2 from 4 Scotland - 1 from 2 Italy 1 from 2 That must be fair? Up to a point but you rather impact your credibility as it's Fran...

Re: Flood replaces Faz

Would disagree with anyone saying this isn't a gutsy move by SL (if it turns out to be true). The press love Farrell so to go against their golden boy is a risky, gutsy move as he needs them onside (unfortunately). very happy to hear though. Not that clued up on JJ but if he's got a step that people...

Re: England and France to pull out of HC

How about changing the wording of the proposal to exclude leagues but make the number of teams from each country the same in percentage terms so we end up with something like this. England - 6 from 12 France - 6 from 12 Ireland - 2 from 4 Wales - 2 from 4 Scotland - 1 from 2 Italy 1 from 2 It is th...

Re: England and France to pull out of HC

Is being "fair" the same as being equitable? I think not. Should the best European teams be the ones to qualify, or should the entries be equally shared out? I want to see the best, with no teams being advantaged by having weak teams in their pools (i.e. easy 11 or 12 points). I actually ...

Re: England and France to pull out of HC

But they are not telling them how to organise their domestic game are they ? The Anglo/French are not asking them to change their domestic structure at all. They are simply proposing that qualification for the HC should be on merit from the 3 respective leagues. As Bill says, they are not attacking...

Re: Hard luck Wales

B.J pathetic post! Wales adjusted well, and were unlucky to not get the win. Its about time we back those other than England when they deserve it, and Wales deserved it today Sorry Tig27, but BJ is right. Wales may have deserved to win, but they were unable to take their kicks & make their poss...

Re: Is it it time to thank Cockers for his efforts?

OK so what does he do at Oval park in the week if he doesn't get tackling parctice, game plans and passing drills running?? Absolutely no idea as I'm not there. Are you? We have seen players making basic, stupid mistakes. If Cockers isn't making them train hard on basics then I agree that he's not ...

Re: Is it it time to thank Cockers for his efforts?

I dont really understand this thread. Hasnt RC got the best record of any coach in the premiership since he became head coach in 2009 ? And he has achieved it during a time of huge transition in the playing staff with experienced players leaving. Since he came back to the club in 2005 as forwards c...

Re: Should Johnno Go?

The problem with Johnno going (as already discussed) is who will replace him I'm personally in favour of him staying and his coaches all being replaced They've overseen 2 poor world cups (yes, we got to the previous final but it's fair to say that it was Wilkinson, Robinson, Lewsey and company picki...

Re: What are your expectations?

As a general, normal year (so excluding this season) I'd expect tigers to make the league playoffs and make the QF's of the HEC

Which (despite what a lot of the forum would have you believe) is exactly what Cockers has done 2 out of his 3 seasons in charge of Tigers

Hate us for the guarantee that our press will have us winning the RWC if we win on Saturday and winning the Football Euro championships next summer no matter what.

I almost hate us for our press so only fair you get the chance as well :)

Re: England v Argentina

I'd have Easter over Haskell at 8 for one reason. Easter is much better at picking the ball up in a scrum that's being pressurised which the Puma's will definitely do Yet going forward in the scrum against Wales it was Easter who lost control and let Wales off the hook where as Haskell controlled t...
