Re: Saracens are relegated!

I am a little surprised that so far there seems to be no move by HMRC to examine the accounts and "benefit in kind " to establish that the full amount of tax was paid.

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2019/20 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD PART 2

Taf does have his lineout problems. Tom Y has been pretty consistent apart from the Saints game and in that match Kerr when he came on did not improve things. I still rate him a good prospect though.

Re: Tigers during the 6N

I didn't know why the selection of Will Griff John almost made JP14 laugh, then I realised it was because he knew I would be at Bath and other Tiger's matches. I could have covered all the front row positions for Wales were it not for the fact I was born in Leicester and despite the name no known co...

Re: Tigers vs Cardiff - 12th January 2020

Due to injury Simmons has not played very much over the last couple of years, when he has played he has looked promising, White did not have his best game last Saturday but has enough good games behind him to convince me he has a good future in the game. The injuries and changes in our backs against...

Re: Saracens Cap Investigation / Grounds for Appeal

The rules do not permit a Premiership team to play a side, more than two divisions between them in the interest of safety. We desperately need the funding to ensure that our second tier becomes fully professional. If Saracens are relegated they will undoubtedly release even if on loan several player...

Re: Tigers vs Bristol - 04th January 2020

Tigers have obviously decided they want to go with more bulk at blind-side, perhaps an indication that when Liebenberg is fit he will be at eight with Kalamafoni at six, I am sure that both Reffell and Thompson will play a part as the game opens up. Forget what happened at Northampton the whole team...

Re: Nigel Wray Gawn

I note the speculation by Wormus and think he may have a point. The Wray family not the individual Nigel is continuing to support the club financially. I am currently reading the Biography of Eddie Jones ( a Christmas present) I have just got past the bit where he says he left his coaching role at S...

Re: Exeter Chiefs 21st December

Personally I always expect us to win at home ( actually away as well), I too was surprised by the selection of Green at 6 but I can understand it as ploy to counter the size of the Exeter pack and normal game plan coupled with the current weather conditions. If it works a shrewd selection! I like th...

Re: Borthwick

Simon Cohen and Rory Underwood hardly flew out out in luxury as they were on an ordinary Ryanair flight with many other Tiger's fans. It is an assumption that they were not paying for themselves, but I would have thought it a legitimate business expense anyway. Simon was supporting our team from the...

Re: Joe Batley signed on loan today

In simple terms if we are spending to the limit of the salary cap there is very little wriggle room to bring in a hulking great South Sea Islander to sit on our bench and play for our second/development team. In the past we have taken raw young locks and back rows and turned them into diamonds like ...

Re: Mark Bakewell - gone? (Rumour)

I have no inside information but it seems likely this latest rumour is true. I spoke to Mark Bakewell on several occasions and found him to be a very nice guy. Prior to the Northampton game I felt the main problem was with our backs not the forwards but we were shocking against Saints. When asked ab...
