Re: Exeter Chiefs

In true rugby style concentrate on the beer, Exeter Otters, should be good for a few quid in sponsorship. Personally i see nothing wrong with Chiefs or the branding but stop that blooming dirge they call the tomahawk chop.

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2020/21 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD Part 2

Agree with BFG about Parling and Salvi but my understanding was that Parling, who I regard as a really big loss, having been away and injured several times with England was asked if he would retire from international call up after the 2015 World Cup, he declined so he went, as it happened he was no l...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2020/21 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD Part 2

Not sure I agree with some of the comments re Cocker and M.O.C years, a lot of young players came through at that time including Manu, for me the main problems started when Anthony Allen and Manu both got major injuries at the same time, Billy Twelvetrees had already decided that he was behind them ...

Re: Interviews - LTTV by Bondi

Glad to see by far the majority on here support Bondi Sam and the LTTV presentations. I have found them informative and mostly entertaining. I think Sam has done a great job and in his relaxed style has probably elicited more information than a Paxman like interrogatory style would gave done, actual...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2020/21 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD Part 2

The good news continues with these young Tigers committing themselves to the future of the club, these guys are more important to us going forward than the would be the arrival of many of the names suggested in various posts on here, although I wouldn't mind the odd new star to fill a couple of plac...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2020/21 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD Part 2

Brave move by Tigers regarding Sam Aspland Robinson due to his injury record but if that is behind him we have seen enough to know he will be a very useful member of our squad. I am delighted that Jordan Olowofela has signed long term, there is a lot more to come from that young man particularly if ...

Re: Players asked to take pay cuts!

The club really can't win, it is widely known through the press that and social media comment from players who had not signed up to the new deals and yet our C.E.O is supposedly wrong for mentioning those names. She is also being criticised for not mentioning Taufua who we are getting conflicting re...

Re: Ideas for revenue generation at Tigers

First find 20,000 fans then all of them find £3,000 at a time when many will be out of work otherwise a great idea. Alternatively Rutlandtiger just pays £60,000,000 to take over the club and guarantees to fund the losses each year for the next ten years, I have it on good authority that everyone in ...

Re: Ideas for revenue generation at Tigers

Sounds like a possible good idea, there would have to be due consideration given to player confidentiality which may cause a few problems, and of course some would accuse the club of lying if there was not full disclosure, the Academy match viewing would be a winner for me, I love it when I get to w...

Re: 31 redundancies

I echo the thoughts of others the real tragedy is those loyal staff on ordinary salaries who through no fault of their own have lost their jobs. The players that have gone have at least made their own decision, I attach no blame to them they have made their choice, time will tell if for them they ha...

Surely Lions players will not be selected from French Division 2. It would be a big step up in intensity, definitely a route to injury.

Re: Transfers and Rumours Non-Tigers 2019-20

Charlie Thacker looked very promising but unfortunately seemed to have a lot of injury problems when with us, if he is over them he will be a useful player for Notts and maybe a handy one for us to borrow if needed.

Re: Players asked to take pay cuts!

It is clear that professional rugby has been overspending on wages. The wealthy French clubs have been paying silly money to some, Saracens breached the salary cap to compete, when they were caught out in 2015 the cap was raised to make it unnecessary for them to cheat and to allow them and clubs lo...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2020/21 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD Part 2

Tigers total wage bill must be close to £1000,000,00 per month plus National Insurance payments, with no income coming in any cash reserves are not going to last long, if major shareholder stump up a load of money to keep thing going then that will gain time but will not last long either. Players on...
