Re: Cycling tops in club colours......anyone?

Don't know much about cycling gear but surely it is available somewhere in Italian national colours or in the North of Spain in the Basque country, could be worth looking online.

Re: Toulon v Tigers - Challenge Cup Semi

Strong team, personally i thought we would go for Steward at 15 with Murimurivalu on the wing but i am sure there are good reasons for the pick that are no reflection on Stewards ability maybe fitness, maybe with an eye on the midweek game but possibly also looking at experience in a key position fo...

Re: Clubs on the brink

People sustained and life changing serious injury before professionalism, I think the game change to being paid to play and subsequent changes to the rules, not all of which I am in agreement with has actually made rugby safer. However BFG is right that there is an obligation on the clubs and the RF...

Re: Delay start of 20-21 season (again)?

Rutland Tigeer may be correct, but clubs are contracted to pay out to existing players, to revert to amateur or semi-professional status would only be possible if those same clubs first went into liquidation to escape their obligations which could involve the disposal of their assets.

Not sure how an app that depends on everybody having a smartphone, not just a smartphone but the right smartphone and is then willing to download an the app. I don't think that we will return to anything like normal until a vaccine is proven and available. Crowds of 30% or less than a club is used t...

Re: QF cancelled - Castres forfeit match!

I too think we would have beaten Castres with the team we selected. I feel sorry for Castres, the ones who failed the Covid test were apparently not part of the playing/travelling squad so it seems a little harsh that they were not permitted to play the game, however that was not our decision and we...

Re: Tigers vs Castres - 20 Sep 20 at 1500

I am not sure of the thinking behind it but from before lockdown we have pretty consistently been picking a lock (Wells or Green) at 6, new signings not yet seen may change the philosophy but currently starting with Harry on the blindside with two flankers to come on adding mobility as the opens up ...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2020/21 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD EPISODE IV: A New Hope

Most players with " pace to burn " are put on the wing, few guys running at full throttle have the composure and balance to throw an accurate pass or change direction, unfortunately many can't do that at a slightly slower pace.

Re: Brian Moore - Telegraph 14 Sep 2020

The Board has been a constantly changing body since its inception, the one constant has been Peter Tom as Chairman, I think he would agree that not all decisions made by the Board have with hindsight been correct but many have, unfortunately incorrect decisions sometimes have consequences that take ...

Re: Team vs Saints

Currently with so many clubs selecting teams that would not be fielded in normal circumstances it is difficult to judge exactly where we are, yesterday both teams were pretty near the strongest available to each club. Undoubtedly if fit we would have George Ford at 10, if available we would probably...

Re: Brian Moore - Telegraph 14 Sep 2020

There are a few discrepancies in Brian Moore's article. Tigers moving in with City came at a time that City were in effect bankrupt, they did not own their ground but did have the right to buy at a reduced rate, my information at the time was that Tigers would have had to lend City the money to purc...

Re: Team vs Saints

How can a supporter of 35 years come on this thread and claim that Greg Bateman, Noel Reid and Kyle Eastman are numbered among our best players. Manu and Telusa possibly, they were players that excited us ball in hand in their all too infrequent appearances. I suspect a troll. We can only judge our ...

Re: Zack Henry

I agree with Tiglon, Zak is a decent deputy for Ford, he is able to play other positions if called upon but I think his main job is to understudy our international 10. We have a new signing, a very promising young player and a couple of others able to take the fullback role.

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2020/21 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD EPISODE IV: A New Hope

I would have thought that payment to them for 2019/20 season was in the cap for that season, it is all going to be blurred for most clubs cap wise as payments to players normally run from July 1st to June 30th and in this unique year seasons are all mixed up. I would think that any payments, loss of...

Re: Tigers vs Sale - 05 Sep 20

I can'y help wondering if some people actually watch the game before posting comments. On some messageboards Lavanini is credited with giving away more penalties than the stats show we conceded in total. Youngs and Ford did not have a mare, I think they may agree that things could have gone better b...
