Re: Heyneke Meyer

Our problems this season so far have not actually been the forwards, we have been lacking in the backs and possibly the unavailability of Youngs, Ford, Tuilagi, May, Vieanu plus the usual injuries may have contributed to that.

Re: Saracens Cap Investigation / Grounds for Appeal

Surely it is absolutely clear that " if " Saracens are guilty of cheating in recent past seasons and are continuing to cheat whilst they appeal then they are guilty of cheating this season also and every victory they have should be reversed and a further fine imposed at the very least.

Re: CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER

Personally I have a lot of time for Simon Cohen as CEO. His predecessor in the role had nothing to do with the rugby side of things, Peter Wheeler was still around and he and Simon oversaw rugby business with Cocker as DOR. When people posting refer to the past they should be accurate, last time we ...

Re: Good Players Made To Look (Less Than) Ordinary

White in his brief cameo played ok and made a couple of breaks. Simmons has not been given opportunities because he has not been fit to play over the last couple of years. The halfbacks are key to how a team plays and yesterday showed that we badly need our internationals back, we created nothing ev...

Re: Leicester vs Saracens

Totally agree re Reffell, defiitely a fine prospect and well worth his place in the squad. Could I point out that signings that have joined us on the understanding that they are understudying Ford, Tuilagi etc are unlikely to be as good as our first choices, not sure that that makes them journeymen ...

Re: Where's Geordie?

It was a total waste of time promoting Dean Richards to D.O. R!, similarly Pat Howard and Richard Cockerill, obviously we were much better with highly rated outsiders like Lofreda and Meyer, a look at out trophy cabinet and a check on the dates will prove the veracity of that statement. It was a mis...

With six of our players away helping England win the World Cup the press and forty six are talking cobblers!

Re: Wales v SA

Why is it that a guy jumping to receive the ball and kicking out forward with his feet is not penalised for dangerous play?

Re: Leicester vs Saracens

Marvellous how highly some rate Simmonds, I do not dispute that he is a fine talent but in two years I believe he has played once for Tigers and that was in an away heavy defeat at Sale in a depleted Tigers team. He has had few if any games in Prem Cup or A League in that time due to injury, I am no...

Re: Saracens Cap Investigation

From what we understand or believe, the Saracens suspected breach of the cap is by their owner investing in busineses jolntly with individual players, I suspect that all he will have to do is write off those investments or even sell them off to another investor maybe a subsidiary company. He would o...

Re: Premiership Round 1 - Worcester vs Tigers

Our match against Worcester was not a good game, neither team will be happy about the way they performed and our loss without a losing bonus point could so easily have been a win. We missed some kicks at goal, Tom Hardwick is usually a reliable kicker but on Saturday he missed with a couple he proba...

Re: Premiership Round 1 - Worcester vs Tigers

Hardwick is normally a reliable kicker, I believe Reid is ok but he did have a bad day off the tee against Saints, he was not used as a kicker yesterday. E.W Viljoen surprisingly was given a longish shot, I know nothing about his kicking record but he certainly had the distance. Costello is on the y...

Re: Premiership Round 1 - Worcester vs Tigers

I thought we would win this game, possibly the loss of the experienced Eastmond to illness was significant but Hardwick did not have a bad game, Worcester were definitely more creative with ball in hand but actually we were not far from winning, a little more accuracy with kicks at goal, (although I...

Re: New Rip Off Plastic Beer Mugs

Tiglon may be right legally, personally I prefer the CAMRA recommendation which is for a ful pint with room for a head. The glasses (cups) we had last season had a mark indicating the level for a pint with space for a bit of head above. According to a gentleman at the AGM he had checked our new stac...

Re: New Rip Off Plastic Beer Mugs

How on earth can bar staff be expected to limit beer consumption when we have several public bars and many payment points. These days I steer well clear of large rounds but if I were to be involved in such it is no-ones business but my own, of course now we are cashless it maybe that there is a prob...
