Re: Country Road adopted lyrics

2022 - on holiday in Spain listening to good old BBC Radio Leicester (God bless the BBC) and after an amazing final (well done Chris Egerton and team) hear the John Denver song on the tannoy and a number of Leicester voices revving it up. 2002 - Heineken Cup Final v Munster in Cardiff. The announcer...

Re: Phil Bennett

In 2001 I was recovering from a hip replacement when Tigers played Swansea in the Heineken Cup. My mate, Little Fat Jack used to drop me off opposite the Mattioni Woods/A L Stand, before we went to watch the game from the Safety Control Unit. As he drove off a car pulled up behind and Phil Bennett g...

Re: Resigning as Moderator

You deserve some rest and relaxation.
Looking after this lot, playing loose head and all the Italian international calls must take their toll.

Re: Northampton v Leicester

Great game and Tigers left everything out on the pitch. Was always going to be small margins. Saints support was tremendous, silence at kicks immaculate. Sad to say that I've never heard noise at WR like there was at FG last night. Does a song help?

What is an Amlin?

Just watched the Saints/Quins semi final and well done to Saints , although with more accuracy Quins could have nicked it. Thought George Clancey was good but if the Ulster guy saw red then Elliott should have. But who is, what or may be an Amlin? Great to see them putting money into rugby but what ...

Re: Curry House / Indian Restaurant

The Agra, on London Road near the Station does it for me. Always seems to be quite a few Tigers supporters in and he normally asks, "How did WE get on?" Always with genuine interest. The first one on the Agra Specials, (can't remember the name) is awesome.

Re: Away Travel to Traviso & USP

Booked a Friday night flight out to Treviso. Having to come back on the Sunday 9.50 am while friends enjoy another day or two. Anyone on same flight want to offer transport back from Stansted to Leicester area. I will share costs?

Re: Half Price GP Final Tickets

Very grateful! Picked up eight tickets for GPF thanks to your info. Only hope I don't end up selling them to nearby Saints fans!

Re: Songs for Saturday

The lack of a Tigers song is an ongoing serious issue and I appreciate Cornish Tigers efforts. Believe it or not , the most Tigers supporters I have seen singing was at half time in GPsemi v Bath when they played Max Bygraves " Windmill in old Amsterdam." Bizarre!!

Re: The Bakers Arms Trip to Twickenham

Remember coming out of the airport at Limerick when we beat Munster a bit back. Stood at the bus stop and the Bakers Arms minibus pulls up and offers lifts to me, little fat jack, some more tigers supporters and a Frenchman who thought he was catching the service bus. A very noisy Irishman gave us t...
