Re: The Clash
I also went last year, with my son. I got the tickets from the Bath website and found myself seated in front of two very noisy and enthusiastic Tigers fans, which was fun! The downside has been that my in-box has been bombarded with 'Bath' news ever since...

Re: Leicester Tigers 2017/18 Squad/Transfers/Contract thread!
I'm completely underwhelmed at the prospect of Halfpenny. Apart from his kicking what does he bring? In fact, what has he EVER brought apart from his kicking? Defences need only cover a kick back to them or simply block off his channel on the rare occasions he runs. With TV, they may not expect a ki...

Re: Bath thanking me for the support on Saturday!
I've been getting emails from them as well. One I received yesterday gave advance warning of industrial action by Southern rail on Saturday. This will affect my journey - I wonder if others are planning to travel by train to Twickenham. The current situation is that they will try to run "as man...

Re: Player Development.
Saracens seem to have a long reach. My son plays in the Academy for Sevenoaks who are affiliated to Saracens and whose scouts tour the area regularly.

Re: A real problem
"I believe Tigers is owned by shareholders and relies on its own revenue. Does this mean things like purchasing the car park are affecting team strength, especially in depth? Saracens are a prime example, after losing both their world class second rows, they make a bid for Eben Etzebeth." ...

Re: The Clash
Well I have to admit, as someone who lives and works in London this is something I can actually get to more readily than a trip to Bath (where tickets are more limited anyway.) I've missed trips to HQ recently so I'll definitely be there with my son. I often make the Quins away game at the Stoop but...

I don't know if this link will work. If it does then it makes some very good points about this debate. If the link doesn't work, perhaps someone more technically savvy than me might be able to work out why... http://sportsscientists.com/2016/03/banning-tackle-rugby-lesson-vs-z/?utm_source=feedburner...

Re: University Research on Concussion in Rugby
I watched the article on The One Show with interest and discussed it with my 15 year old who plays in the back row for both school and club. He routinely wears pads under his shirt (he doesn't like srcrum caps) and we both thought this substance would be useful in such pads. But, thinking further, i...

Re: Italy v England teams
While I am also looking forward to seeing how Itoje goes I feel for Devoto, dropping out of the 23 altogether. I think he could have made an impression against Italy coming on with 20 to go.

Re: Rugby League star's concussion dementia
Will Smith's latest film 'Concussion' tells the true story of a pathologist who uncovered the extent of dementia and brain damage amongst former American Football players. A different sport to Rugby of course but the most compelling aspect of it was that it wasn't the big hits that did the damage bu...

Re: Interesting citing....
Dayglo's commentary says Ashton had nowhere else to grab Marshall but it looks pretty clear to me that he had his hand under Marshall's arm and then moved it to Marshall's face. That seems like a deliberate movement into a very reckless act. I expect a lengthy ban.

Oh I don't know - my eyes start to water if I look at it for too long. Maybe that's the point!
