Re: Heineken cup final
Call me a grumpy old curmudgeon but I just can't be pleased for them. The HEC is no longer a level playing field. It's ALL Leinster have to play for. And did anyone else hear that prize oaf Barnes saying he thought Leinster were so good that they could join the Aviva Premiership and go UNBEATEN? My ...

He was genuinely a class act and, as stated above, an excellent pundit, fair and knowledgeable. Thoughts and prayers are with him and his family. I saw his son play at a mini Festival a few years ago and he was a chip off the old block.

Re: Hawkins Injury/Clark Citing - UPDATE - Now cited!
In the light of the evidence it's hardly surprising Saints have acted as they have. The angle seen in the YouTube link does not present a very clear image of what happened. There is another angle, as suggested by several posters and which has been shown on Sky Sports this afternoon, showing the inci...

Re: Cipriani is joining Sale Sharks
He's stated his intention of getting the England No.10 jersey back in time for the 2015 World Cup. I once thought he was a shoe-in for that role but what are his chances now? With the media darling Farrel the incumbent and with George Ford closing in fast I think Cips is going to have to play out of...

Re: Under 10's Final
I guess there must be regional variations. The London and Kent authorities (for club rugby, on Sundays) do not have any conversions up to and including U12 and trys are counted individually. The games are also played on smaller pitches (often across the width of a normal pitch) and last 10 minutes e...

Re: Under 10's Final
MJ Chairman got it right. It's scores that count so they are counted in singles. There are no conversions or penalties. This applies all the way up to Under 12s in club rugby (although, perplexingly, the same age group in school rugby have conversions and accrue points in the normal way, at least in...

A legend and a gentleman. A role should be found for him on the coaching staff at Welford Road.

I had heard from a friend who's a Wasps supporter that they still have a contractual "first refusal" if he chooses to return to the Premiership. Could have been wishful thinking on his part of course...

Re: Billy's off...
I'm gutted by this news. AA, as someone has pointed out, is in the Hipkiss mould - good going into contact but can't/won't pass. He gives his all for the shirt, no doubt about that, but he simply isn't in the same class as Twelvetrees. A settled centre partnership of Billy and Manu - THAT was the fu...
