Re: Reffell still not in the Wales Squad

If I was Tigers I'd be pointing out Costelow, Holmes, Roberts and probably more I've forgotten who all listened to the WRU and have ended up in arguably a worse position Holmes had little choice. He was capped, and therefore had to sign for a Welsh side when his contract ran out else he wouldn't be...

Re: Reffell still not in the Wales Squad

I believe Wainwright can play either flank but has played 6 for Wales. Reffell is dual qualified but very much considers him Welsh from what I've heard previously. I think he qualifies on residency. I'd hope we have a nice long term deal sat ready for him to sign the week before he makes his Wales d...

Re: Worcester (A) 16th October - 3pm

Having watched the game well we dominated every facet of the game. Even when Worcester had us camped on our try line our defence looked strong. We were however, inaccurate and undisciplined on occasion. It's scary to think how much we could still tighten up and improve compared to where we currently...

Re: Reffell still not in the Wales Squad

This feels like Pivac putting pressure on Reffell to sign with Scarlets Yep,Davis isn’t getting any younger Davies isn't getting any younger but Davis and McLeod are under 25 and both opensides. Hopefully they develop and we retain Reffell a bit longer. Pivac and the WRU have made promises to non-W...

Re: Reffell still not in the Wales Squad

Welsh Coach Wayne Pivac (attempts to) gives an explanation for Tom Reffell's latest omission from the Welsh squad. https://www.leicestermercury.co.uk/sport/rugby/rugby-news/leicester-tigers-wales-rugby-squad-6063322 Whist no one can question a coaches choice to select who he likes ( if we could we ...

Re: Full games on Premiership Rugby web site

Yeah I did that last week only to find that Tigers Vs LI was the only game not uploaded early doors. It was on by the time I'd come back from my bike ride around midday but I'd already succumbed to temptation and watched the highlights by then. Hopefully there's no hitch in getting the game Vs Wuss ...

Re: Gallagher Premiership Week 5 (Other Games)

A rejuvenated Sale's next opponent is Tigers. We should have the beef to repel them. Quins international halfback pairing failed to control the game. Quirke have Care a lesson in box kicking. I'd hope that our halfbacks could guide our pack around the pitch better and we'd be able to keep the Sale ...

Re: Gallagher Premiership Week 5 (Other Games)

Good luck to Smith if he has Farrell at 12.... England broke the winning run streak and got to a world cup final with Farrell at 12. He's not the ideal choice but he does a job. What hasn't worked for England recently is the Farrell/Slade combination, it's an awful combination. Ford got left with a...

Re: Gallagher Premiership Week 5 (Other Games)

I mean I thought he struggled till the final 20 v us at home last season. It’s all well and good pulling off these comebacks in the premiership but it’s another thing giving SA or NZ a 20 point lead at half time I thought Smith and Care got given a lesson in game management that day. Two men up at ...

Re: Worcester (A) 16th October - 3pm

Best team we’ve fielded for many years .. I just hope they can live up to what we now expect of them … as SB says we are still very much a team in development and one assumes there will be downs as well as ups .. let’s hope not this week. I’m sure he will be drilling in the need to avoid complacenc...

Re: Gallagher Premiership Week 5 (Other Games)

Friday night in Manchester is a tough ask, Quins will do well to get anything out of that, Sale still missing Faff, but with Curry in the back row they will be tough to beat I think. Sale have 20 year old Quirke and 22 Wilkinson at half back, if Care and Smith can't take advantage of that then thei...

Re: AUTUMN INTERNATIONALS 2021

They were conned, like so many. Costelow I think was sold a dream. Not sure he's going to be that impressed with how it's turned out. Holmes went knowing that he'd have a contract with Dragons for pretty much as long as he wants one, good financial security but with the chance of more caps. He's in...

Re: 21/22 Injury/Suspension Thread

Kini training in a green bib in the video on the Tigers Twitter page so prob means coming back into fitness? Genge training in a white bib (Looks like players involved are in white bibs) Also noted I think I saw Lancaster in a white bib, which if you're right could suggest that Ford may be having a...

Re: Re:4G Pitch bans? Leggings are allowed

4g Pitch bans - This has been chewed over many times on here, and my opinion hasn’t changed. Get rid I don't understand the need for them. You can get hybrid pitches that play like grass but don't cut up. WR has one (so does Twickers) and the difference between what we have and the mud bath days of...
