Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2023/24 - KANGAROO MCKELLER: Do you come from a land down under? (Squad thread pt 2)

The wonder back is off to Leinster... There are others than Jordie Barrett Lozowski plays 10 & 13 Also AViewFromLe2 pointed out on Twitter that Sam James is leaving Sale, now I think he's rumoured off to France, but he's a 13 who covers 12, 10 & 15 He's 29 so I'd presume he's off for a pay ...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2023/24 - KANGAROO MCKELLER: Do you come from a land down under? (Squad thread pt 2)

No idea if this is practical or possible, but with Jonathan Davies leaving Scarlets, I'd be tempted to have a look at him for us. We need a centre, especially at 13. Could be a pretty good option to bring in as back up to Perese and help bring young Charlie Myall on. We have lost several of our &qu...

Just throwing this out there with no basis in fact but could Manu Vunipola be looking for a new challenge with his cousins on the move too He's leaving Sarries in the summer but that would be a downgrade. I've not seen anything from him to suggest he's got a future at this level. Barton at Glaws if...

Wilkinson heading to Newcastle for next season.

We might need to acquire a flyhalf before next season.

Apologies if I'm slow on this one.

Now is not the time to experiment, Steward at fullback, Shillcock on the bench. Kelly and Scott in the centre with Kata on wing although Kinder is a viable option, last week he showed there was more to his game than just his run for the try, either player could have an impact off the bench. Not the...

Re: Transfers & Rumours Non-Tigers 2022

:smt005 Very true RB. The Max Deegan rumour has apparently reoccurred for the last five summers. The IRFU have been trying to encourage him to make the move as Ulster need IQ talent in certain areas but Leinster squad players don't seem interested and it doesn't help Ireland having players with a co...

Re: Black Lions match

We have so many journeymen of questionable quality, am sure none of the supporters would worry if these youngsters were given a try out v Sale. Especially at scrum half and wing. Including a large number of them probably isn't a great idea but one or two probably deserve it. Whitcombe to come in fo...

Re: Friday night in Manchester

Have to go strong for the last two games. Want to finish higher than 8th given Glaws in the Euro final. Got as strong as we can for Sale away, maybe incorporate a couple of the young stand outs who deserve it but we need points and Sale do seem a little fragile if you can stay in the fight for the f...

Re: Champions and Challenge Cup Semi-finals - 2024

Byrne as a replacement for Sexton is a massive step down. Is there anyone else in the wings? Byrne's younger brother was on the bench he's a bit more attacking minded but maybe lacks some control. Byrne the younger was preferred by Ireland during the 6N for a squad spot. Sam Pendergast was the youn...

Re: Black Lions match

Seb Smith was the replacement hooker, I think. Yes, correct. Hit his throw well. First appearance for a senior Leicester team I think. Archie Vanes was originally named as the replacement hooker, did he pull out injured? This is a good result for the club, not only does it point towards a positive ...

Re: Transfers & Rumours Non-Tigers 2022

https://www.rugbypass.com/news/rugby-transfers-fissler-confidential-wallaby-medical-england-prop-set-to-be-dumped/ Slightly odd move from Exeter in signing Hunter Paisami, given they already have Hawkins and Slade? Might indicate that Devoto is off. If Harry Williams is available on the (very) chea...

Re: Tigers v Sale (A) - Premiership - Friday 10th May 2024 - KO: 7:45pm

With Brown banned do we start Kata on the wing or maybe give Kinder a try? I didn't see yesterday's game but it Kinder impressed then why not. Sends a clear message to the youngsters, if you show good form there's a path to the first team. Kinder is an England age grade player and England age grade...

peteD wrote: Fri May 03, 2024 9:03 pm Carnduff & Whitcombe both off early as well, possibly being saved as well? I hope that we aren’t taking off the ‘experience’ too soon.
Hopkinson on the bench who's come on for Carnduff has been playing Championship rugby for Doncaster and is 23.

Re: Black Lions match

Two touchline conversions for Wilkinson and it sounds like he's playing well. Glad he's getting a chance, he looked good at Sale and is better than just making up the numbers.
