Re: Transfers and Rumours Non-Tigers 2019-20

An old colleague who was at the Brive vs Stade Francais Challenge Cup game mentioned that Pablo Matera is rumoured to be struggling to settle in Paris. Stade Francais is hardly a happy camp currently sitting bottom of the Top 14 and having a coaching overhaul at the start of the season so I could s...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2019/20 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD PART 2

Wait. A few people mentioning Montoya. Julián Montoya? Have we actually been linked? I think it's a very vague link, but I might be wrong. Matias Alemanno was linked after having chats with Jan McGinity. He was linked by the Argentine press as well which tends to be fairly accurate and less 'scatte...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2019/20 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD PART 2

I think Worth is more suited to 12 personally but that's by the by. I agree we should build up the squad with clubmen. More Matt Smiths less Gonzalo Camachos. The academy production line should help that along nicely. Then when the squad men we don't need go we can't combine their wages to keep our ...

Re: Saracens are relegated!

Now that Saracens relegation is confirmed, and from the result against Quins they appear to have a diminished interest in winning, how can the league allow any of their games to count this season. Teams who played and lost against them prior to the announcement are surely disadvantaged. Sarries ten...

Mallins has been linked with Exeter. That would be a great move for both parties. He hasn't had much look with injury Mallins.

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2019/20 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD PART 2

Jack Singleton being linked to us in the Mail. Sarries are wanting to send players on own but clubs want permanent deals also. Rumours Lyon have offered to take the Vunipolas on loan. It would the most advantageous thing for Sarries. They'll want to retain most of their internationals for when they...

Re: Bath vs. Tigers - Sat 25 Jan 15:00

You mean we actually had tactics yesterday?!! Of course Tigers had tactics here they are: 1. Am I a Forward? Yes - then head down and run into someone. 2. Am I a Centre or Wing? Yes - then pass to a Half Back or Full Back. 3. Am I a Half Back or Full Back? Yes - then hoof it somewhere. That sounds ...

Fill in the blanks for 2020/21: 1. Genge 2. 3. Cole 4. Lavanini 5. 6. Kalamafoni 7. Taufua 8. Liebenberg 9. 10. Ford 11. 12. 13. Manu 14. Holmes 15. Veianu Singleton in at 2 (perhaps) Lam in at 11 (perhaps) assuming May is off Need to strengthen our squad if we stand any hope of competing next seas...

Re: Saracens in th Championship

I doubt many of the internationals will still be there by the time next season kicks off. We can see the gulf between the leagues in the way Falcons are running away with it this season. It's an understandable concern. Even if the rumoured leavers go and the England internationals go on loan Sarries...

Re: Bath vs. Tigers - Sat 25 Jan 15:00

Just seen the highlights, defence on Homer’s try really poor from both Olowofela and Veainu. It really was. Murphy must have had his head in his hands. We'd defended well and controlled much of the game after half time with Bath possibly fortunate not to have conceded a penalty try to go with their...

Re: Bath vs. Tigers - Sat 25 Jan 15:00

Such a frustrating game. I felt before the game we should win. With 15 minutes to go I was confident we would win, yet same old stories and we go to record another loss. Bar Lavanini and Taufua, who else in the forwards are standing up to be counted? Yes, Wells played very well and conditions like ...

Re: Bath vs. Tigers - Sat 25 Jan 15:00

Two minutes to go and we need points so we box kick it away - :censored: A poor box kick as well. Almost as disappointing as the grubber a couple of minutes before on halfway, just gave Burns the ball to pick a lineout in our half. Our wingers seem to be standing pretty flat in defence. I wonder wh...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2019/20 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD PART 2

If Costelow is off that's very disappointing. Understandable though as he's unlikely to leapfrog Ford anytime soon whilst at Scarlets he really only needs to surpass Patchell who has been unlucky with injuries.

Re: Finn Russell

Definitely first choice Lions 10 if you were picking the squad today, Not with Gatland in charge. He'll pick Farrell and Anscombe. Maybe Biggar as a third option. He likes a 10 that can defend first and foremost. Back in the day, that's what a 7 was for! If the stand-off had to make a tackle, the o...
