Re: London Irish v Leicester

Don't think we can afford to give Dupuy a rest he will have to wait until the end of the 6N when Ellis gets back. He can then spend the rest of the season playing 20 min spells at the end of games. Youngs for another super sub game me thinks. Squad largely unchanged from last week apart from the enf...

Re: Seru - over and out?

It would be a shame to see Seru go but at the same time it might be the best thing for all really. He's not going to get push into the first team with his current form and may find himself further down the pecking order next season when we bring in a new centre to replace Ernile. Best he goes somewh...

Re: Billy Twelvetrees

From the rumours I've heard it was part of the deal with Bedford that we should have an option to re-sign him if we so wished. I think he was still under youth contract with us when Bedford asked to sign him so we were able to slide in some useful terms into the agreement. He's been playing 10,12 an...

Re: Varndell in England 7's

Hopefully TV will refind his form on the 7s circuit. He made his name there and I really do hope he gets back to his best as on form he's easily our best winger and we need his tries to get back to the top of the GP. Would be good to see him lift some silverware with the sevens as well. Then it woul...

Re: Cockerill - Master of beautiful attacking rugby?!

Herring didn't play at the weekend but I don't think he's played well since the opening day of the season against Glaws and he wasn't great then (though he has been injured). I think Woods could be good he just seems to look at naive when up against the more experienced flankers who are well versed ...

Re: Tigers Legends XV - N. 8

I voted for Cozza as well. I voted shortly after it came up and Deano had about 90% of the votes so I sort of assumed it would even out a bit before the finish.

Re: Are the England players available this weekend?

Oadbywonder's linked article throws up an interesting point (down at the bottom). Tigers are still waiting for the written details of Corry's suspension, the 72 hour period for challenging the decision doesn't start until after the clubs receives them. Could we yet see Corry cleared? Everyone but Cr...

Re: Cockerill - Master of beautiful attacking rugby?!

Well two of the tries were moments of great individual skill by Vesty (though it was very quick, quality line out ball) and Ben Youngs (off loading to Johne Murphy, who should have started, for the last one). Big call to drop a 19 year old into the action at scrum half in such a tough away fixture w...

Re: Hipkiss commits to Tigers

If Crane is yet to sign a deal though that is a worry, he has been immense for us this season and it would be very difficult to replace both him and Corry. Though apparently Ward-Smith is on his way to us but he is no spring chicken at 30 and Crane must be kept. Excellent to see Hipkiss signing on i...

Re: Keyser off to Stade Francais

I'm not to worried about the lack of experience at hooker Chuter is still around and Duffy seems to be a top ND1 player and should be able to make the step up if he wants it enough. Then theres still Tom Youngs and Greg Sammons who are both Leicester boys and will die for the shirt. Youngs has plent...

Re: Coaching Team

I disagree about Crane's handling skills, he was a monster in the churchill cup last year offloading after doing his usual smash job through the defence. The problem is no one ever gets on the shoulder at Tigers, Mauger has the same problem. The players seem happy to play slow ball smash it up the f...

Re: outside centre

I thought Flutely, Haskell and Palmer are all leaving at the end of their contracts so Wasps will get no money. Wasps had to renew the contracts of the majority of their squad this season and by the looks of it, it hasn't gone well. Wasps are always short on funds (even with the new man in charge) a...

Re: Salary Cap

Theres been only the odd few players drifting out to France from the GP in reccent years and the GP has signed a similar number back across the channel. I don't see it as a problem at the moment, Wasps are losing so many of their players because they are pretty much skint and just can't afford to pa...

Re: Coaching Team

I think Cockers is doing a fair job, he is struggling with a wealth of injuries and international call ups taking away half his squad. He's not had chance to pick any players as the board and Meyer picked the summer signings. Yet the general play of the team has continued to improve. Meyer started t...

Re: VIDEO Tuilagi/Leo fight and Rabeni Tackle

Nothing wrong with Seru's tackle it was just a little late and I doubt whether he could have pulled out of it as he was at full sprint. Anyone who says that American Footballers put in bigger hits than the rugby boys needs to have a look at that one. Respect for Waldouck for just getting up and carr...
