Re: Tigers absolutely rubbish

We were poor. Our execution is untidy and our approach frankly Fred karno's. It isn't without foundation that forwards decide Who (they did that) and backs by how many (they did that to). Our soft skills are just not their, we are crying out for structure in the backs. Then there is a chance that yo...

Re: England's 45-man squad

Its easy to be critical and i'd be the first to think maybe an Allen should be in or a Worsley shouldnt. But think about it this way, Johnson only has to do one thing and that is pick a squad rather than a team that could win 8 or so games on the trot thereby winning the world cup. Nothing to do wit...

Re: Dan Cole

Kieran Brookes has stated his favoured role as being tight head although he can play across the front row. What we need is a hooker so maybe thats where Tigers see his future. Unless i'm mistaken we're not in the market for one, have lost one although Youngs may well be ready for a return. Chuter re...

Re: Team news vs Sarries?

My take on the team selection is a simple one and the team Cockerill starts with may well dictate the result in the end. We are strong in the second row but no doubt we need to start with a combination of a strong scrummager/tight forward and a more athletic/dynamic forward. The latter being very mo...

Re: Manu

No question Manu will get banned and rightly so, it happens, we'll get over it and he'll learn by missing a showpiece final which we'll win anyway. I'm sure if you ask Chris Ashton he's not as bothered as the Saints fans seem to be and is concentrating on this weekend against Leinster. We were by fa...

Re: Head Butts

Probably 4 seasons ago now I was in the Crumbie, right in the corner at the temporary stand end. Gloucester didnt get throw, Azam called the touch judge a Fxxxx Cxxxx and stuck two fingers up at him. Right in front of the sky camera and literally 5 yards maximum from the railings, right where childr...

Re: Tigers v Ospreys

Norfolkexpat has called it exactly as it is. We have signed a load of championship players. I agree the youth deserve a chance but they were rubbish last night to be honest. We all support the tigers no point pretending. We have too many 'average' players and the youth doesn't quite seem to be comin...

Re: Tigers v Ospreys

We do have a choice, particulary when we choose to play an extra game is aus during internationals with a smaller and certainly less well balanced squad. Injuries can't be accounted for but it seems to me we always have more than the average

Re: Tigers v Ospreys

Cricket score, will end embarrassingly. Meaningless cup but then fielding a team against Australia wasn't going to win anything. Being destroyed on the floor, upper body strength or lack of. Mind you I didn't think you could take a quick tap from scrum time. 2 tries scored since I started writing th...

Re: The 10-12 channel - a big problem?

It is a problem, 5 days on the training ground and I would expect it to be better, however I dont think for all the kicking abilities he has Staunton can defend any better than he currently does. He was bought as a solid operator and was never going to set the world on fire, sadly due to injuries an...

Thomas must be wondering what the.........

hell is going on. How much work, how many breaks, how little in support. Either way, win or loose its been very dissapointing in terms of possession, defence and particularly break down and kickoffs. In the first half hour I counted at least 5 kicks where we effectively gave them possession and bare...

Re: England vs Australia in the summer

For me Flatman remains the best loosehead in England and has been, injuries aside for some years. Keep him fit and he seems to be currently and he should be in. Golding as understudy for sure, like the look of him especially on firm southern grounds. Cole at tighthead for sure, he is good and will g...

Re: Tigers Fans are being short-changed

I dont necessarily disagree with the theme of this post although its the reasons we need to look at. The english salary cap will always be a massive problem in terms of attracting enough truly world class players. For the premiership we will be fine (unless the likes of Sarries continue to find a wa...

Re: Will 7 be a worry?

Our back row does not have the balance or class needed to push for honours greater than the premiership. The closest we came in recent years included Jennings at 7. Very much like england we have not produced that dog on floor type individual for some years. Observation not criticism before anyone s...

Strettle to Sarries

Should we link this into the salary cap thread - how on earth do they manage to do it. Odd game at Wembley but otherwise playing infront of small crowds, very unambitous.
