Re: 4G Pitch bans? Leggings are allowed

In addition to the issues of increased risk of player injuries, particularly with respect to knee joints, the pitches also present different characteristics regarding the reaction of the ball as it comes into contact with the playing surface. This has to be an advantage to the home team which play h...

Re: Worcester (A) 16th October - 3pm

I think the days of constant pack domination in the scrum are long gone. Generally we have an excellent pack which are as good as most and better than many but it is very technical and depending on how sir is seeing things we do at times get the wrong end of the stick. However, I am pleased at the w...

Re: Still stuck in the mud! - Development updates

Things are continuing to go well. If you visit the webcam the external construction elevator on the south end has been dismantled and the sheeting and scaffold remove to reveal he top four floors. It looks like it will be a smart building when completed. :smt023

No problems with the selection.

JVP may have taken a knock or perhaps being rested before the autumn internationals

Re: Colour-blind Awareness in rugby

Not quite sure where we go from here, from reading the article and comments we learn that there is a problem distinguishing between red and green, dark blue and red and also purple and brown, no doubt other colour combinations pose problems for some. Should we just say that all home teams play in a...

Re: Colour-blind Awareness in rugby

It does remind me though of the immortal quote from the voice of snooker, Ted Lowe: "...and for those of you who are watching in black and white, the pink is next to the green." Remember it well. It was a 'Pot Black' program and I was one of the ones watching in black and white. Those were the days...

Re: Kelly cited

It didn't look deliberate but you do have a duty of care, particularly when the other player is immobile on the ground. Contact was to the neck/head so with a guilty plea, possible mitigation and past record I think it will be 4-6 weeks, perhaps less if the beak has had a good day. Not long to go be...

Re: Kelly cited

Like the way the potential loss of Kelly is described as hitting one of the weaker areas of our squad then 4 or 5 alternatives to him are listed. We have depth in the squad now, anybody missing a game may not automatically get their place back when available. Have to agree with this. Kelly has play...

Re: Kelly cited

It is indeed fortunate that it was not picked up by the officials at the time as it would have cost us the game. Reckless at best although his past record shows he is not a dirty player. No doubt he will plead guilty (clearly shown on camera) and with due contrition he should get a 50%? discount. I ...

Re: Round 3 - Saracens (H) - Saturday 02nd October 2021

I was wrong in that it was daughter, not son, but the statement was that he had '...met his two year old daughter for the first time ever...'. Presumably this has a lot to do with the problems of movement during the worst of the pandemic but I know how hard it was not to meet with our first grand da...
