Re: Manu Tuilagi

So we have an answer; France.

Presumably the sums add up for him so I wish him all the best. He has been expensive for us but at times a delight to watch. England will miss him.

Re: Bristol splashing cash - new training facility

This is worth a look: https://www.bristolbearsrugby.com/news/video-lansdown-and-booy-reflect-on-training-ground-progress/ Certainly the best rugby training facilities I have ever seen and a reflection of what can happen when you have an owner where money is no object. That said, I still think than i...

Re: New Kit

Not too long before we all get to see the new kit, but just keeping the guessing game going... I don't know how long they have been there, but the Club's twitter feed currently incorporates the following: 'Club first', 'tough' 'passionate' 'driven'. Following GM's hint about the new shirts incorpor...

Re: Sale Return 'Home'

Clearly this is at a very early stage. Assuming it goes ahead we are probably looking 5-10 years before the stadium is complete and they may well look to add something like a hotel and conference facilities to make it a destination.

Time will tell.

Re: Salary Cap changes

BT will stay with the Premiership. They broadcast to a UK audience so the Premiership and perhaps to a lesser extent the Pro 12 are what is of commercial interest.

We may loose a few good/great players to the overseas game but what remains will give us a good quality of rugby well worth watching.

Re: Season Tickets

Clearly this is a question of personal preference and depth of pocket. The Crumbie is in line for redevelopment at some point in time but no doubt the current situation will have put back plans for a number of years. The 10k seater H&B stand is comfortable. My own preference is to sit about, say, 15...

Re: Still stuck in the mud! - Development updates

As long as it is a good deal for the club, then I’m fine with it. The financial deal will be between Marshall CPD and Bespoke Hotels - if it follows their previous deals then Bespoke Hotels will be taking a lease with Marshalls as the landlord,( at least initially). I suspect that this was a pre-le...

Re: Still stuck in the mud! - Development updates

It's a shame they haven't pointed a webcam at the new hotel development so that we can monitor progress. More interesting than seeing someone cut the grass :smt009

Re: Still stuck in the mud! - Development updates

Received a nice call from Tigers yesterday checking whether we were well and if we needing anything. In the conversation I mentioned getting a webcam or two set up to monitor the progress of the new hotel development. He thought it was a good idea and promised to see what could be done. It will be s...

Re: Jonah Holmes

Jonah is moving for the right reasons and Nemani Nadolo is not a bad replacement. We also have good young wingers coming through so I don't think there is much cause for concern.

Re: Still stuck in the mud! - Development updates

Thanks for the update.

At this point it will be all about marking out and excavation for leveling, foundations, drainage, etc. so social distancing shouldn't present two many problems.

We're in this for the long haul so the more that can safely be kept going the better for all.

Re: J. MAY ESQ.

Agreed.

At the end of the day we cannot keep all the existing players whilst bringing new talent in and whilst he is a great winger it is more important that we retain the services of our half backs and the likes of Genge. :smt023

Re: Still stuck in the mud! - Development updates

How timetables change! Four years later and we have yet to start on the car park and the hotel is only just underway. A camera would be useful in these times of lock down and a distraction from more serious matters. Perhaps someone who is still allowed to drive passes the site and can tell us if it ...
