Re: 2024 Six Nations Chat
Id hazard an educated guess that those bemoaning not going for the TBP wouldve gone absolutely crackers if we hadve given away a turnover penalty if we hadve gone multi phase and advantage over was called! Not really, your guess is way off the mark in respect of me. England winning was good for the...

Re: 2024 Six Nations Chat
Attempting the drop goal was an extra chance of kicking the points. If the attack had petered out it would have all been on the penalty kick. As it would have been had the DG missed. Considering the TBP for table position and factors going into last round was bigger picture thinking, some don't agr...

Re: 2024 Six Nations Chat
Thought England could have tried a bit longer for the try at the end and get a TBP. Pen advantage being played, go for the 5 points, if you fail then 3 pointer in the bag from pen by posts and win anyway. Only minimal risk would be if ref called Advantage over but 5 metres from try line how many tim...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2023/24 - Crocodile McKeller: Men at Work
I know its not a lot of experience internationally but I seem to recollect that Wigglesworth coached with Canada one summer? Or perhaps I have my wires crossed. yes at 2015 RWC I think. 2019 https://www.englandrugby.com/england/senior-men/squad/richard-wigglesworth In 2019, Wigglesworth also began ...

Re: Next seasons season ticket
At time of posting it's pushing 4:30pm and the new season tickets were launched at 10:00am today. I've still not received any email from the club confirming what next year is going to cost me - I know how much it is, I've checked on the website. How many season ticket holders have actually received...

Re: Last Third - 6 Game Prem Run-In
Not backing us no,just a hunch Dimes will pull something out the hat. Severe pessimism, even for you! Not really ,probably more of a law of averages man. I don’t believe that Newcastle will go winless all season now Dimes is there and knowing us it will be us who lose to them! So you are backing us...

Said similar on the 'other games...' thread, will be a big factor I think.Rugbygramps wrote: ↑Sat Jan 27, 2024 8:39 pm Also throw into the mix players returning from 6 nations and the possible effects of a clubs extended run in Europe.

Re: Last Third - 6 Game Prem Run-In
Spot on. They've choked a lead before too, 10 points in 2011 or 2012 ish (can't quite remember) I think when we reeled them in. They are looking good value this year though, can still be caught - easily.TigerFeetSteve wrote: ↑Sat Jan 27, 2024 8:34 pm Of all the teams remaining I'd say Saints have the toughest run in...

Last Third - 6 Game Prem Run-In
One game at a time, I know, but..... I won't even bother to try to 'call it', close table with lots in the mix still. Saints in the driving seat to top the table (for what little that counts these days) with a slight 'air gap' now, but that could change rapidly. Round 13 Bristol v Saints Tigers v Gl...

Re: Tigers v Quins (A) - Premiership - Friday 26th January 2024 - KO- 19:45
We deserved to win the game and win did. Just. Well done Dan McKellar. We didn't so much 'win' it as Quins lost it. we had some glimpses of brilliance to balance out the brainless today, but still got lucky at the end. We were lucky with the kick but all the pundits agreed at the end we should have...

Re: Other matches - 26th - 28th January 2024
First games back are Gloucester at home and Falcons away. We're well in the hunt. We have 6 teams to face. So 3 we don't, the 3 we don't are 2nd 3rd and 4th (Quins, Bath & Sarries). So all but the Saints Derby are the bottom teams in the league... Exeter above us and Sale may well be after tomo...

Re: Other matches - 26th - 28th January 2024
First games back are Gloucester at home and Falcons away. We're well in the hunt. We most definitely are and, with rest for players and hopefully no major injuries from 6N for players returning or from Euro Cup exploits, the last third of the season will ensure the table switches around quite a bit...
