Re: Tigers v Leinster (H) - Saturday 07th May 2022 - 5-30pm KO
A draw in 80 mins could happen! I was at a family party in Shearsby and told my wife that I would be away for two hours max whist I watched Tigers play Cardiff in the Heineken semi final (at the Plough at Bruntingthorpe). Three hours later I returned, slightly the worse for wear........she still doe...

Re: Tigers v Leinster (H) - Saturday 07th May 2022 - 5-30pm KO
I tried to buy terrace tickets on the first day they were released for general sale. They were sold out, so I had to buy tickets elsewhere and there were so few seats available in the new stand (clubhouse end) that we couldn't get 5 together and one of my sons is sitting right behind us. Now on look...

Yes a lot of pundits think Collier should be in the England squad, he's a very good tighthead.
Think Whitcombe has already overtaken FVW and at such a young age, he's a great prospect.

Re: 21/22 Injury/Suspension Thread
Heard from a reliable source that MVS has now passed all of his concussion protocols and should be back in full training shortly.
It would be great to have him available for selection for the Prem semi and a potential European semi. Fingers crossed.

I agree. I was actually talking to Neil Back about Reffell on Saturday. He is a fan, but thinks he needs to work on his support lines of running. His tackling and work over the ball is excellent.

Re: Tigers v Leinster
I was at Lansdowne Rd when we comfortably beat Leinster in the quarter final in 2005. Ollie Smith easily outplayed Brian O'Driscoll that day!
But please educate me, IF Tigers and Leinster get through tomorrow, is it a guaranteed home tie, not over two legs?

Re: Return fixture - Clermont (H) - 16th April 2022
It is a good enough side to win at home definitely. Hope Montoya is ok we need him next week! Likewise Nadolo. Would love to know what's wrong with Martin, just a hint would be nice!! Looking forward to it, got an invitation tomorrow with the prawn sandwich brigade, so will be there very early to ma...

Re: Return fixture - Clermont (H) - 16th April 2022
I would expect our strongest side at home with a much rotated side away to Quinns the week after. I would expect the other way round but who knows with Borthwick So would I. The Clermont game isn't "in the bag", but even with changes, I'd expect Tigers to win comfortably. Quins, however, ...

Re: Clermont (Away) - Sunday 10th April 2022
A wonderful game of rugby and a well deserved win for Tigers who showed some flare in attack and much fortitude in defence. For me the Porter red card was never a red. Both player were moving forward at the point of collision and both were looking at the ball rather than at one another. Both were u...

Re: Guy Porter red card
There was no foul play, it was an accident. Therefore under the laws it was not even a penalty, just an unfortunate collision. It happens in contact sports funnily enough!! And no I would not change my opinion if an accidental collision rendered one of our players injured. You can't just cite "...

Re: Tom Smith
Yes remember Tom so well from that 1997 Lions Tour. He was so much smaller than the Bok tighthead, but his low scrummaging technique and teak toughness, was a big factor in the Lions victory. In the Living with the Lions documentary of that tour, he came over as a fantastic man. A legend of the game...

Re: Exeter (A) - Sunday 27th March 2022
That's a cracking side. It has done us a favour playing on Sunday this weekend, just gives that extra day for the likes of Genge and Steward to properly recover from Paris.
I'm feeling confident........not sure that's usually a good sign!
