Re: National league 1 - 2023/24

I remember going over to The Reddings in the late 70s to watch a John Player cup game between Mosley and Tigers which Tigers won. In fact we had to turn round on our way home when we suddenly realised we had left one of our number in the players bar So the date was 3rd April 1982 and I went to watc...

Re: National league 1 - 2023/24

I know there's a lot of lads still around from my playing days and the colts that made up the next generation too, I'm hopeful of a good result this weekend, hope your team goes well. Great win for the Lions!! If they keep up this form they will be safely mid table very soon! Meanwhile on Leicester...

Re: National league 1 - 2023/24

Digital program for this weekends game https://publuu.com/flip-book/228604/872806/page/1 That's an impressive digital programme TB. Good luck to the Lions today. I'm about to head out to Leicester Forest to watch Mkt Harb, who will hopefully carry on their good form....having only lost one game thi...

Re: 2024 Six Nations Chat

Well we could always join the United Rugby Championship and restrict English clubs to say 4 (same as Ireland), that should have the same effect......but it wouldn't be so much fun would it!! Ireland are having a good time presently, with some brilliant players, but that could easily change in 3 or 4...

Re: Leinster tickets

I was there in April 2005 when we won 13 - 29 with a fabulous performance from Ollie Smith, who outshone Brian O'Driscoll that day. Daryl Gibson also scored and Goodey kicked 19 points........I seem to remember it was a very sober weekend :smt002 :smt003

Re: 2024 Six Nations Chat

Ireland/Leinster were immense. Hugo Keenan was fantastic and made two unbelievable tackles.

I'm a big Steward fan, but Keenan sets the standard in world rugby at 15 presently.

Re: 2024 Six Nations Chat

I believe all this talk of building towards the next World Cup is tosh. If the core of the squad have been together for multiple 6N, AI and WC competitions, they should have gelled. At each event, a few of the old guard will be let go (or retired). and newcomers will be added who should quickly ass...

Re: 23/24 Injury/Suspension/Absent International List

It is a great shame for George and for Tigers with Henderson out as well.

I just hope George isn't one of those unlucky players that is injury prone generally, he's had more than his fair share for one so young.

Re: National league 1 - 2023/24

What is pleasing is that except for the full back who is on dual registration from Northampton, that's all Lions own starting the game, with the three Tigers coming on to seal the deal. Above Sale and Taunton in the league, vital win. Great news TB I'm really pleased. That should give them some rea...

Re: Mako

Precursor to a move abroad possibly. England options at loosehead for 6 nations reducing with Genge an Rodd injured Marler also struggling...... And good luck Mako - you don't get 79 caps for England and a handful for the Lions unless you are a very good player. Great servant for England and Sarries.

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2023/24 - Crocodile McKeller: Men at Work

Hope we don’t let Scott go as he’s our best 13 in my opinion. Cracknell is ok but would prefer to use Illione more which would save money also. Probably can afford to let Carter go and utilise Chessum the younger. Chessum L is very much a work in progress I believe. Certainly he didn't stand out pl...

Very interesting article by Brian Moore on this in todays DT, see; https://www.telegraph.co.uk/rugby-union/2024/01/06/brian-moore-england-rugby-players-association-rpa-union/ If it's behind a pay wall for some, hopefully someone more IT literate than me can provide a suitable link. Re: Tigers v Saracens (H) - Premiership - Saturday 06th January 2024 - KO- 3-05pm

One of my kids birthdays tommorow. Got family commitments Do I a) keep track and occasionally check the scores b) go for a online blackout and plan to watch later? I'd go for (a) via the web, and if a win you can have a most enjoyable watch later! Personally - and I appreciate others are different ...
