Re: Tigers v Falcons

Kicking - the problem is not that we kick too much, but that we too often kick badly/aimlessly. The All Blacks kick a lot, but nearly always to good effect. Sarries likewise. We need to either positively kick for touch out of defence, box kick/up and under giving our chasers time to properly challen...

Re: Tigers v Falcons

Really enjoyed the game, two good attacking teams. Like most have commented, we need to improve our defence, but I'm sure that will come. Good to see Manu playing better, he just needs some confidence IMO. Thought Eastmond and BOC were excellent and really hope their injuries are not serious!!! Defi...

Re: Ellis back to Bristol

Did anyone see Gengey on Rugby Tonight? I missed it but they said on BT Sport last night that he was very good.

Re: The next New Head Coach / DOR?

Vesty is certainly a bogey pick. Is that because he "gets up your nose" RB? :smt017 He was shown picking his nose and Eating it on BT in what has to be one of the best timing's in rugby history. It was absolutely hilarious, Healey couldn't control his laughter in the commentary box, Vesty will be t...

Re: Tigers v Falcons

I understand the wish to see Jonah Holmes involved but he played on Monday, none of those guys trained on Tuesday and Wednesday is a day off so to include Jonah this week was in my view not practical. As a winger Jonah either starts or misses out there are more versatile players for the bench. Fair...

Re: Tigers v Falcons

TBF Thompstone is reliable. smaller pitch so speed won't be that much a thing for him. Also understandable why Murphy wouldn't want to change too much in his first game in charge. Thompstone is a good player who's been a loyal servant. But IMO Holmes is a more natural try scorer, runs better suppor...

Re: Tigers v Falcons

Yes a good side that should win!! It's a mystery to me why MOC and now GM seem to prefer Thompstone to Holmes (unless he's injured). Reminds me a bit of Cockers preference for Jordan Crane over TTTE; rumours were that Jordan spent a lot of time washing Cockers car, I wonder if the same applies to AT...

Re: Tigers v Falcons

Will Toomua and TPN return again before the end of the Rugby Championship?

If not when are they back for the season?

Frankly I don't think it's worth bringing them back for a week, just get them back permanently asap!!

Re: Supporters forum tonight

Would have liked another member of the board to have been present really. Ideally Tom but he doesn't seem to like these events anymore, I wonder why.......... Surely for tax reasons - Guernsey resident & days in the country, rather use those days at the games or his board meetings. :smt023 Does tha...

Re: Who would you like to see as the new DOR / Head Coach?

As it's unlikely we will get Baxter to be DoR and Wayne Smith to coach the backs, I think Crumblies is about right with Mike Ford/Geordie on a temp contract until we see how that goes. However I think the club will give Murphy some time to see if he can make an impact and I would respect that decisi...

Re: MOC GONE

:smt003 Feels to me as if all the fevered speculation and wishful thinking about MOC’s successor is moot. I can’t envisage anyone wanting to work for the current Board and CEO. All the guff about “a great club” and a “glorious history” must mean little when the present reality would be to be line-ma...

Re: A league on Monday night @ Loughborough 7:30PM

They thrashed us last year, at Leicester Grammar if I remember. Assume that's 2 pens, no tries for us? Not sure how old you are LE18 but I'll put that last question down to a "senior moment" or perhaps it's the excitement of MOC's departure :smt002 Hi Soggy, yes i'm quite old, cannot really underst...
