Re: Thoughts & conclusions on the season.

Perhaps the worry about the commercial side and playing side seeming divorced led to that utter abomination of a decision to have a reality TV wedding at half time. Symptomatic of the utter Wittery we've seen in much of the comms and marketing over recent years. At times it seems like they are setti...

Re: Ben Kay BT Pundit and committee member

As a rugby committee member at Tigers he will have inside knowledge of what is happening at the club, which the club would expect to be kept confidential - his employer at BT will see that as valuable information for their viewers ( or might be shared in conversationin the course of chit chat before...

Re: Ben Kay BT Pundit and committee member

Yes, I see the potential Strawclearer - but is that not in line with the definition of a conflict of interest as far as other clubs are concerned?

Ben Kay BT Pundit and committee member

How does he square being a pundit and sitting on the rugby committee of a club covered by the same broadcaster? I'm not suggesting any gain to himself, but surely these are incompatible roles? "A conflict of interest (COI) is a situation in which a person or organization is involved in multiple inte...

I'm afraid the lunatics really have taken over the asylum.

Better rugby wanted not marketing stunts.

Re: Well done Ulster

Congratulations indeed on this being taken seriously by Ulster. Sadly I can see where this came from. Last Saturday I had to have words with a very vociferous Ulster Fan sat behind, us to the effect that, whilst we are more than happy to have opposition fans make as much noise as they like in suppor...

Re: MOC to be sacked?

I’d have more faith in Leonard Cohen frankly. The man is a smooth taking, arrogant numpty. I wouldn’t trust him to walk my dog let alone run a top-class rugby team. Anyone want to tell me what Cohen’s major achievements have been over the last 3 years? Mr Partridge I salute you - your prose almost ...

Re: Tigers v Newcastle Falcons

As I've said on another thread we need, as a club, to stand back from the immediacy of winning games or even silver ware for a while and reassess what our future is and build with a clear vision in mind - both on and off the pitch. For me, the problems of player recruitment, retention and selection ...

Re: Finishing outside the top 4: humiliating blow to confidence or useful wake-up call?

Back in 2014 on October 6 I posted this in response to a forum topic called "The definition of Insanity" I feel it warrants a second airing after the last two seasons and in the light of this topic. "A question. Is part of our "insanity" a fixation on winning this and every season? Have we perhaps ...

Re: MOC to be sacked?

Animals aside, Brendan Venter plus 5 years would get my vote. I know he's not popular with Tigers fans, but he understands what a winning team culture looks like and how to achieve it.
IMHO there are two red lines that Tigers should never cross. 1) NEVER have Brendon Ventor involved in any...

Re: Catering & Bar Feedback Season 2016/17 & 2018.

No sympathy. They only have to tolerate it once a season. We have it 17+ times. Actually when I say we I don't mean me at the moment. I gave up my ST. The "match day experience" certainly wasn't a deterrent to doing so. :smt002 :smt010 :smt022 :smt044
Ha ha (laughs in agreement Ourla) - th...
