Re: An evening with Cockers
Going back to the original post, from my experience of these events, and I have attended many, they are often entertaining, sometimes enjoyable, and very often thought provoking. If I wasn't busy I would be attending. Just touching on the debate on cost. I believe that there should be a charge, as t...

Re: Money where your mouth is time
I believe that we will do really well. If we have a bit of luck with injurie, and with a good pitch, we will be a force to be reckoned with.
I wouldn't right off Saints, especially if Picamoles settles.
However, our biggest rivals will be our Reco friends. Dai Young is building a cracking squad.

Re: New pitch for Ospreys game
It looks like we are going for a brown version of Roland Garros's clay court. They are working on it at the moment. Will the club be asking for volunteers to paint it green? BowdenTiger, have you got any time on your hands? Volunteering? :smt005 I have a roller and green paint, but with it being pr...

Re: Wasps sign Kyle Eastmond
Interesting to look where Bath have been recruiting, with Faletau, Charteris, Stooke, van Veuran and Walker joining the forwards. So far only Fotulli'i coming into the backs. There is of course time for recruitment, but it seems that they may think their failings have been up front! Possibly an chan...

Re: New pitch for Ospreys game
MHT, I had this discussion with a council groundsman yesterday, and yes they are becoming a rareity, but he thought that after 3/4 days there will be a green hue to the surface and most shoots will be there within 7/10 days!

Re: Tom Youngs named new club captain
I saw him yesterday, and he looked like he was in good condition, with no extra weight. He will gain match day fitness quite quickly, I believe.
As regards his England spot, EJ will not ignore him if he plays well, and on good form he will have a shout with the Lions Selection also.

Re: Wasps sign Kyle Eastmond
Perhaps he had a get out clause in his contract, such as 'If Ford leaves, then the contract is void'.
It will make Wasps stronger, but importantly, it makes Bath much weaker. They struggled last year, so unless they recruit well.............

Re: New pitch for Ospreys game
Our pitch looks very brown on the WebCam this morning, I wonder how long the grass will take to come through, 5 weeks is not a long time!
The technology of this combination surface has come on a long way since they installed the one at Oval Park, a few years ago now!

Re: Brexit fallout for rugby
I think that we should be looking to have some sort of restriction on match day squads, in that there should be a minimum of English registered players. With Brexit happening, should we be taking the opportunity to help develop our young players. Too often players are brought in who have little posi...

Re: Now we have 2 for away trips
There have been other people running away trips, quite successfully. Not long back Mick & Bev Heady ran successful trips to Ospreys, Exeter, Twickenham, Paris and Milan (Aironi). These used Woods & RB travel, with quality coaches and where appropriate, super hotels. The costs were good, as t...

Re: Blackadder to Bath!!!!
Admittedly, I have only spoken to a couple of Bath fans recently, both ST holders, and they are dismayed by the route the club seems to be taking. Both were dismayed that they were having to go to London for a home game- a game they have seen as a banker 4/5 points recently. They think that they wil...

Re: Matt Toomau
I have to agree on Toomau, as he plays with his head up, looking for opportunities.
If he fits in, which I am sure he will, we should have a really good back line!
I hope though, that Freddie doesn't get hurt in the Glastonbury mud!
