Re: New coaching structure?

The club will bring in an administrator akin to Cohen in our glory days who will take the contracts etc away from Geordan freeing him up to coach the team and decide how we will play via a master plan. Recruitment will ultimately reside with Geordan, with advice being driven via a committee as we l...

Could Mike Ford be our Stuart Lancaster?
Especially if Geordan can flourish as MoCs toxicity fades away.

Re: New coaching structure?

Gonna throw Toby Booth into the mix.

Out of contract with Bath, and plenty of experience.

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2018/19 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD PART 7

Lam putting the feelers out for Genge , bit disrespectful when he's still under contract although I haven't saw the interview so could be taking it out of context,I'm just going on the headline. Let's cherish him because this will most likely his last season with us! He just said he'd be the kinda ...

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2018/19 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD PART 7

After 5 seasons of totally inept recruitment it strikes me that as supporters our expectations are very low. I fear that whilst our competitors sign serious talent that we will continue to get left behind. I still question looking at our announced new signings if we truly are actually spending up t...

Don't think Glynn is leaving the club.

Getting him away from the seniors will be good enough.

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2018/19 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD PART 7

Liebenberg plays at blindside now Vermuelen is there,he was just covering. Liebenberg is a number 8, being moved to accomidate Vermuelen. He's also more of a number 8 then Denton, who is a 6/8 IMO. Liebenberg at 8, with Taufau at 6 and Thomson or Reffell at 7 will be a very, very good back row. Alm...

Was chatting to a Bedford STH, and they've been very impressed with Clare this season and are gutted to see him go.

Reckons he could end up being 2nd choice by the end of next season if given half a chance.

Re: Quins vs Tigers

Can't tell you but its the worse kept secret in Rugby. More interested in the players coming in. Supposed to be several World Class players but our signings of previous World Class players hasn't really set the club on fire in fact most have proved damp quids! (There are exceptions) What about defe...

Re: New coaching structure?

So you're not happy with how things are currently but you're happy to wait until after the World Cup in December (half way through the season) to being new people in? If we are going to bring people in, we need everyone in place ready for pre season. If it means getting the best coaches, then yes, ...

Re: New coaching structure?

I disagree. We don't need another Head Coach sacked. Geordan will be moved into a DoR role, with an experienced Head Coach coming in. I really hope we get rid of Bakewell and Blake, I genuinely see absolutely no benefit in what they bring to the squad. Really should add thats just what I expect to ...

Re: Tigers v Bristol - 27th April 2019

Always disappointing to receive abuse for a sincere comment in a civilised debate. I decided to watch the disallowed try at Newcastle incident again a few times. The cross kick from White was bang on the money. Hammersley was out of position and moved across stretching to make the catch. He may hav...

Re: All Coaches except Boris must go now..

My concern th Loffreda & Meyer. What were the real reasons for them leaving I doubt we can be certain, however were they fully supported by the players and in-house coaches. I suspect not. For too long Tiger's coaching roles have been the domain of recently retired players. I'm pretty sure there wa...
