Re: Positive Posts only for The Great Cockerill

We live in mad times! Brexit - Trump - Cockers! All strange decision, but losing Cockers has upset me the most. At an end of season "Thank You" party for members who had volunteered at the club, in the bars or on the terraces, Cockers was a wine waiter. He came to our table and asked what ...

Re: Supporters Forum Meeting?

If the committee members were felt to have any real contribution to the running of the playing side of the club, surely this meeting ought to have been held before Cockers was sacked, to find out the views of this cross-section of the fans.

Re: Supporters Forum Meeting?

Not wishing to be unkind, but looking at the make up of the Tigers side of the group, it seems likely that the discussions are focused on the hospitality and membership side, rather than the playing side.

Re: Bill W RIP

Just back from holiday and logged on to hear this very sad news. I'm surprised how sad this has made me, considering I never met the man, but his presence on the forum has been huge for so long that it's like losing a member of my own family.
My sympathies go to his family.

Re: Sarries record debt

It wouldn't surprise me if Wray took his ball and moved the whole team over to France, where his dubious accounting ploys would attract no attention, and he could buy his way to glory. He isn't interested in building a team in the traditional way, so he'd fit perfectly in France where it's the bank,...

Re: Ryan Lamb banned for 1 game following red card in A leag

I wasn't there, but if the provocation had been going on for some time, shouldn't someone on the pitch or from the coaches have had a word with Ryan to help him calm down and deal with it better? Sure, he's been stupid - for breaking his own hand - but surely the captain or coaches must take some re...

Re: Katy Perry – ROAR!

Strangely, at 3.20 minutes of the video (which is probably 3.20 minute too long by this point) there's a plane's propeller which seems to be painted to look like a Tiger's sock! Has this song been deliberately aimed at Tiger's fans in some warped marketing way? Maybe if the beat was changed and it w...

Re: George Chuter

Did anyone see him on ESPN when the camera got a close up of him just sitting on the bench? He started to pull silly faces, and the camera just stayed on him for what seemed like ages. Better value than the rugby on offer.

Re: Legends game - great day

What an enjoyable game! Congratulations to the players of both sides for not only putting themselves through such a grueling 80+ minutes, but for really throwing themselves into it wholeheartedly. Some of those tackles and runs were as good as we see in the Prem games! I'm sure that there must be a ...

Owen Williams

Just read on the BBC site that we've signed fly-half Owen Williams from Scarlets. This comes a bit out of the blue to everyone it seems, but he could be a good asset. He'll certainly add to the competition for the place in the team.

Re: Treviso match on red button on today

OK, so the game was on tv, but the coverage was dreadful! The camera zoomed in when we needed to see open back play; the camera angle was switching around like an action film so we couldn't work out where the players or ball was; there were close ups of individual players just standing around when a...

Re: Rolland

Mr Partridge, you seem to be saying that AR wasn't as bad as people are saying, but then you go on to point out other decisions which he got wrong. Surely making bad decisions, even for a team that he "seemed to be favouring", proves how useless his judgements are, which is the complaint o...

Re: Castro - whats up?

I got the distinct impression, after we'd got the 4th try and it was clear that we weren't going to lose, the instructions had been to just hold the game. Maybe that is what Castro is complaining about. It was obvious that they weren't going to put any players at risk of injury, and at one level it ...
