Re: Tigers v Saints (H) - Saturday 28th January 2023 - KO 14:00

Mmmm... A close game that could have gone either way, and if Pollard hadn't been taken out by that Keystone Cops moment then I fancy Tigers would have edged it. That said, the performance wasn't really good enough, was it? A potent mix of errors and a crippling lack of ambition. A very disappointing...

Re: Tigers v Saints (H) - Saturday 28th January 2023 - KO 14:00

Fair play to Saints. A denuded line up, only one away win all season. I know Tigers have lacked creativity, and over-relied on kicking etc, but if Northampton do indeed win this then I doff my cap!

Re: Tigers v Quins (A)- Sunday 16th October 2022 - 3-00pm

I think that Tiger may need to be careful about loose kicking from hand and/or sub optimal kick chase, a truism perhaps, but perhaps against Quinns away in particular. I know that there seems to be a tactic of kicking if they don't make much progress in the first phase or two, which is understandabl...

Re: Greatest ever Tigers XV

So blessed in the front row! Harry Ellis is a must for me. What a talent, and what a shame. Anyone who blinked and missed Barry Evans scooting up the wing will find it hard to leave him out. I don't think Lewis Moody ever gave less than 101% in a Tigers' shirt. Louis Deacon remains under rated. A tr...

"Great defense to stop that" (rolling maul. Er, yes, illegally, and should have been a yellow card, if not penalty try.

Not that it would have made a difference, but would have helped add a little gloss to what has been a resilient performance.

Re: Gloucester away Sat 13th March

Watching Tigers trying to see the game out, is painful in the extreme. Then....a huge scrum penalty!

Re: BRISTOL vs TIGERS - Sat 27 Feb 21 (1300)

[quote=RunTigerRun post_id=769300 time=1614438650 user_id=32324] As others have said I think SB will have learnt a lot about some of the ‘fringe’ players today going forwards. Squad effort is muchi improved and think we are building. Get some attacking play going and we would look good as the defenc...

Re: BRISTOL vs TIGERS - Sat 27 Feb 21 (1300)

The reffing team seem to take the view that it was yellow because Bristol had plenty of players wide, rather than whether it was a deliberate knock on or not. Meanwhile, the commentators both breathe a sigh of relief when Bristol score, "finally" they say, no more need to slit their wrists...

Re: BRISTOL vs TIGERS - Sat 27 Feb 21 (1300)

Ref is very happy to give lots of pens against Tigers, then wants a word with OTY about all the pens that he, the ref, is choosing to give...

In fairness maybe most were valid, it just sometimes feels like a witch hunt...

Should hang on and am very impressed if they do. Restarts are appalling however.

Re: 3rd January 2021 v Bath

Have played pretty well 2nd half, and perhaps just marginally unfortunate on the net penalty count.

That try is well deserved I think. Good stuff.

Re: 3rd January 2021 v Bath

Ridiculous pen. How on earth can Barnes even pretend that Ford was off his feet?

Mind you, would never have happened without Benny's pass to no one at the other end. Shame.

Ooh, but that's a nice try. Great work from Genge in the build up.
